Atmosphere tonight

I don't give a toss about the atmosphere just want my team to play well they were shite tonight
Correct mate
Folk are obsessed though with the atmosphere, empty seats, early leavers, worried what it looks like on t.v or the ribbing their rag mates may give them, fucking sad.

I think the empty seats sums up what alot of city fans feel about Uefa and the CL.
Rigged draws, playing mostly same teams each year, uefa sanctions meaning we are at a disadvantage with squad numbers this year, bent officiating, ffp fine etc.
Does not excuse the team underperforming again in Europe but i can understand the empty seats

Why do people keep bringing the rags into it makes me wonder who's REALLY bothered about the rags, no one mentioned the rags.

Jesus Christ if there is no atmoshpere at football you might as well stay at home on the couch , footballers get spurred on by a good atmosphere, you do know that don't you,

That was a protest last night, a silent one of course. However I don't think most of the commentary thus far has the intelligence to recognise that we wouldn't ever be allowed to win the thing until we have exposed the cartels and cheats anyway, only then will our mindset change, as only then will we have a chance. CFG is losing the hearts and minds and has no armoury on display to put up a fight. Come on CITY!

This all day pal. Who cares what Ferdinand,Scholes said etc. Fucking has beens with nowt better to do. They are ignorant to what the owners are doing for our club and the benefits they are bringing to the local area. Do they tweet that? Do they fuck.
I thought the attendance was good considering the prices that many can't afford. I pulled out of the CL Scheme this season simply because the competition no longer appeals to me,nowt to do with cost but I feel the club need to definitely be aware of the impact this is having on the normal working class fans.
Of course I want to see the club win the thing but I refuse to care about the rag media, twitter or anyone else and what they think about our club anymore. Heard that Rag Ogden on Talkshite this morning, could hear the delight in his voice so I just turned off. We will get there,it may take another few yrs but I am sure we will.
Can't wait for the proper cup game against Newcastle on the 29th and for the FA Cup to begin in Jan.

Domestic success all day long.

I find the old 'daytrippers' excuse to be pretty weak tbh. There were plenty of seats tonight for the self proclaimed real fans to fill tonight and yet they weren't there. I'm not even convinced that cheaper tickets will make a big difference. I've been to plenty of cup games where tickets are dirt cheap and it hasn't been any different to tonight.

The only solution I can see is to have a few blocks dedicated for a permanent singing section and then we'll have to accept the rest of the stadium will probably be silent for most of the game.

Totally agree. We've had two cup matches in the last week and there were spare seats galore. How many would be there without the daytrippers? Does anyone seriuosly think that supporting the club is being sat at home watching the telly? As for the "in ground" atmosphere it's awful and has been for years. I doubt it will change soon.

Living abroad, I only get to a handful of matches each season now. But based on that - admittedly limited - experience, it's hard to disagree.

I also find it slightly strange that so many seem to dismiss this as an utter irrelevancy. Of course, it's not the be all and end all, but the energy created by a crowd can and often does have an affect on the players.

11 CL games at the Etihad and I've yet to leave the ground thinking "Cant wait to watch the highlights".
