Even if one of these murderers did come through Greece as a 'refugee' 6 weeks ago, its pretty irrelevant really, as this operation, 3 different team, with 3 very different targets, all co-ordinated to happen at pretty much the same time in one City, will have been months in the planning.
A few borders not being 'open' wouldn't have prevented it, the only thing that could have prevented it, is better intelligence. Its no coincidence that we have been free from a serious major attack since July 2005, because we woke up to the threat, and have taken it very seriously ever since. There's many here who think our security is over the top, but its that good, that we are far from an easy target, and people like this go for easy targets, as its easier to plan, and execute.
Not saying it couldn't happen here, it still could, but France is only 10 months since their last major attack, and presumably they tightened up considerably after that, yet they still saw France as an easy target, and planned an executed a near perfect operation, 3 separate team came together to do it. An attack here is much more likely to be a lone wolf lucky attack imho.
I was in Calais on Thursday, and was quite shocked by 2 things, firstly the size of the camp near the port where people, I won't call them refugees, or immigrants, are trying to get into the UK, its far bigger than I expected, it really is a tented City. The second thing that shocked me was the security that is now in place to prevent these people getting here, all paid for by the UK I imagine, its very impressive, from getting of the ferry, the fencing is tens of miles long, double, triple layered fencing, all high, all topped with razor wire, and yet we still can't stop them making it.
I don't think that terrorists like this need to hide with refugees to get here, they are well funded, and there are simpler methods to get here, than walking hundreds of miles, through many different countries, always at the risk of being detained.
