Attacks in Paris

No I don`t bother with Twatter but what was basically said by JM to cause outrage ?

He posted - and not unreasonably n my view - the following which was later taken down it seems

"Fucking cowards. Slaughtering innocent unarmed people for what? Families and children enjoying life, theatre, meals? Not an army vs army you fucking cowards. For what? In who’s name? Are you doing this in the name of your god? Cos I've got news for you, if you think your 'god' is gonna reward you for this type of atrocity then your god is a massive ****. I hope you are all caught and murdered in a similar agonising way you fucking scumbags. You are an embarrassment to humanity and a s**t stain on all of humanity. You will never defeat us, we are too strong you utter bastards."

Clearly shocked and emotional his outburst was probably not out of kilter with quite a few others but I assume his "celebrity" status cacued there to be enough complaints for action to be taken.

Pathetic by Twatter really

Why are there so many names? ISIS, IS, ISIL? The French ambassador said Deauc(totally incorrect spelling). Can blue moon come up with a true and fitting name for these cunts?

I think your last 2 words "these Cunts" if apt enough, but briefly

from what I understand they were an insurgent group, AQI - Al Queda in Iraq, their leaders were killed 2006 and renamed thenselves Islamic State in Iraq - ISI, they then got battered by the yanks in south Iraq and Kurds in North Iraq(Kurdistan region), by 2007/8 they were practically defeated, the yanks left it to the Iraqi army as they were scaling back operations, ISI under their new leader recruited a lot of Saddams elite ex soldiers and officers and renamed as ISIL in2013 - islamit state of iraq and the levant(basically the name of the area that was assyria, though I may be wrong ), we used syria instead of levant so called them ISIS, the middle east call them Da'ish which means the same.

Exactly. What's happened is beyond awful and for the people invovled the anguish must be indescribable, but the chances of getting caught up in anything like this are so remote that there is just no point in living your life scared. As is often pointed out, this is exactly what terrorism strives to achieve anway and I refuse to allow them any small victory.

I was out last night around where the attacks took place. People were out. Drinking in bars, on terraces. There was a sense of defiance. Staying home, being scared, is EXACTLY what they want. All we can do is defy that by continuing to live our lives.

The sad thing is that the attacks were in a very specific area where you won't find anything other than young people having a good time. It goes to the heart of what most of us are. Young, liberal, progressive, and most importantly of all, innocent.

The outrage in this thread is understandable as is the anti Islamic sentiment. But lest we forget muslims died in the Bataclan and on Rue Charonne, just as the police officer executed during the Charlie Hebdo rampage was also a muslim. So as I say, the outrage is understandable. But try and temper your words a little bit because not all of us who are muslims are evil.

Crazy as there`s nothing in that outburst that any good minded person would be offended by.

From what I've seen on this tread most people are directing their anger towards the perpetrators and their warped ideas, but of course there are a few that try to twist things, anyhow stay safe blue.

Just wanted to point out that I said this back in September, along with many others including Damocles, and we were basically shot down for this general opinion:

"Seeing a lot of pictures of these refugees flooding into Europe. I'm not for one second suggesting that they are ISIS agents but my question is this - how come there are so many men in these pictures on their own? I do not want to believe that ISIS will use this crisis to get their soldiers into Europe but surely these men would be fleeing with their families not without them??? Apparently men make up 75% of the refugees."

It has now emerged that Syrian passports have been found and that several of the terrorists came through Greece as 'Syrian refugees'.

Good on the people of Paris.

Glad you & yours are safe.

This is exactly my thinking, everyone patted down and bags checked etc.

Everyone would feel much safer.

There is however a slight flaw with this idea.

Imagine 76000 trying to get in the swamp and everyone being searched at some point there would be 10's of thousands of fans all bunched up queuing.
As the bomber gets to his turn to frisked he then detonates his device he could kill hundreds and hundreds as everyone is in such close proximity then imagine this scenario at several turnstiles and as soon as the terrorists hear the first device go off they then in turn detonate their devices the carnage would be immense then there is also the chance of panic and stampeding fans getting killed in the crushes that could ensue.

They would get as much publicity as if they had set off devices inside the ground, There is very little searches can do to stop a terror attack at the football.

A couple of points, why would anyone carry their passport with them, do you not think this is what they want you to believe so that you continue to live in fear

Firstly it has only been established that this passport matches a greek checkpoint record, not whether it's the same person and the authorities and media are trying to make sure this is not taken as fully proven, and secondly more than 400 French citizens have returned from Syria in the last couple of years including the one identified as a shooter/bomber, so it is still too early to start using the refugee movement is cloaking any army of jihadis as fact, well unless your the mail on sunday headline writer.

Now I am not saying it isn't happening but if we take it as a definate fact before all evidence points to it, we help promote the fear and unease these cunts in di'ash want.

A few yrs back a couple of doors were booted-in by the authorities and tickets to a match at Old Scaffold were found, earlier that day a nutty mate of mine had run up to one of these houses and wrapped fuck out of the door, he was'nt to know the place had been under observation for three weeks and there was a copper not in uniform implanted into the privets opposite. After not getting an answer he fuckt off fishing, the authorities were forced to storm the place and next news granada reports are telling folk not to turn up at o/t with any kind of bag and that everybody will be getting searched. I asked me nutty pal how he had winded a little sleeper cell in his street and told me they had arrived with a couple of females and fannied around making sure they were seen to be moving in but they never moved in, they surreptitously left with the van driver leaving half a dozen breeding aged males living in a 2up 2 down terraced house...living only on the first floor level. His point was the females doing the fanny house-flit were in on the caper

Breaking now on CNN, the terrorist who came into Leros Greece on 3rd Oct had no documents so was issued with an emergency passport, he was then fingerprinted, the emergency passport was found near his body, his fingerprints matched the guy who came ashore in Leros, they have named him but i didn't quite catch it, 2 of the other dead terrorists had false Turkish passports
