Something else worth doing would be give increased points for hard to fill games
Utd at home gets 10
Burton st home gets 100
That would fill the stadium and stop people ( the press ) going on about empty seats
My biggest issue with points is the people who buy to retain points and don't go . I am not sure how that can be stopped though

Fair point. City use to offer up to 30 for some Cat C teams? but crappy euro or cup ties should have more points 30-70 per game as an incentive.

Looking back at my ticket points as far as 2011/12 i use to get 50 points a season for subscribing to the e-magazine and 50 for the e-programme!! There was load of silly add-ons at the time for building up points.

Anyone remember the wee booth that use to be at the city store and you could scan your ST on matchday? was this for points?

I would have though most of those who don’t go to a home game are not overly bothered about away games.

those were for cityzen points i think where you could claim free stuff with your cityzen points, they've stopped that now

regarding loyalty points,i remember getting 100 points for the home game v Reading in the FA Cup the year we won it
,Also I got 50 points for the game v Timisora on a thursday night early kick off in the europa league i think.

In the 2010/11 season for the FA Cup R4 onwards you were awarded 50 points per match and a 150 Bonus for buying all of them; and for the Europa League knockout rounds it was 50 per match and a 100 Bonus for buying all. This was before platinum was introduced too!!

It would only even things out though if we moved to a system of say last three years points counting which are rolled over at the end of the season with the rarliearyear then dropping out. Platinum could be scrapped finally and it's benefits would be gone after three years.

Ahhhh remember the good old days when if you wanted an away ticket and qualified for one you got your arse down to the ticket office and waited in line and if you couldn't because of work and yes, we all worked even in those days so no time is not an excuse, one of your mates went down.

Once they where gone they where gone

How about this for an off the wall suggestion.....
Why don't the club retrospectively give say an extra 100 points for each home Cup/Champions League match that supporters have attended over say the last 5 years (or since the takeover), ie rewarding actual loyalty and support of our team without the prior knowledge of gaining points. That should give a boost to those on lower points!

Trouble is as I have already stated the ones on big points were probably at all them games too, so you would still be no nearer.

Or the even better old days where you woke up, thought “shall I go to Huddersfield today” rang your mate, jumped on a train and paid at the gate! Much easier :-)

So your gripe isn't just with Platinum, it's that a lot of people have been going to many games for many years and therefore the JCL's are restricted in their choice of current away games! Prestwich_Blue put forward a comment that the club wanted bums on seats and would give extra points for attending matches, this still wouldn't get people up the ladder as those with the most points will still attend as they/we have been doing for many many years!!
