Bad news for non season ticket holders

although it states that those stands are sold out.. that is just the season ticket allocation. there is a percentage in each stand which is not season ticket and allowed to be purchased each match day..

It has always been like that.

No it hasn't the South Stand is all Season ticket as long as they sell out every year.

well thats bollocks as i know for a fact there are spare seast near me in the south stand which are not season ticket holders.
they always leave a selection of seats in all stands for regular ticket sales.

Season tickets pay the most money so they should get the better views. What is so hard to explain about that? I don't see why people who are paying £40.00 complain when not getting priority to the better views. You have what is left around the stadium regardless of where it is and that's the way it's always been.

I can't afford a seasoncard anymore but used to have one for years growing up and I completely agree with this, I now get to around 5-10 games a season and expect to have whatever is left, I don't invest alot and thus I don't expect the same treatment as those who do, and as for poor seats there is no such thing at COMS but even if there were I wouldn't mind being in them just to see the boys turn out and enjoy the day out as a whole, the game for me is just a part, an important part needless to say, but a part of a matchday experience, sorry for sounding like a City sales person but it's just the way I view it!

It used to be more or less the first six rows, but they have now been sold. The one seat next to you is probably a database anomaly.

Try buying a seat in the south stand then for any Prem match. It is impossible.

For the first 3 seasons or so at CoMS they would not let people in more expensive West and East Stand seats move to the South Stand as there was a percentage threshold for season tickets. That threshold was removed about 3 or 4 years ago when sales declined. Last season you could see the singles left in the SS until they all went.

Been speaking to the ticket office and from looking at the new on line ticket system it does'nt look good for people like me that cant get to every game for work or cost reasons.

Apparently there are no seats availble behind either goal, nothing on the second level so all that is left, is the first few rows of the colin bell and east stand and the back back few rows of the third tier. So the most expensvie seats with the crapest views.

Not really very good value paying £40 quid to sit at the back of the third tier to watch teams like blackburn , o well suppose should not complain il still go when I can but club does risk upsetting a lot of fans.

I can sort of understand fella - i work away quite alot of the time so a ST is a no no - but looking back i think i should have bought the value cards at 250 quid - even if i only got to 6 or 7 games it would still cost me less.

No easy way around it to be honest

The only thing positive for me is that i expect to see alot of City on TV Monday / Tuesday games and it is these games i will target to get tickets for as people may stay at home watching the TV - sad yes but every cloud and all

Did I mention that I'd got my first season ticket since they knocked down the terraced Kippax in 3rd row of Colin Bell Level 3...?

Had a sulk for a few years about having to sit down, only went to Maine Rd a handful of times after that, but been going regularly again since being at Eastlands. I was there at every game of "that run" during the Pearce era... But it was getting to the point where getting a general sale ticket was going to be ridiculous, so I got the cash together and went down today and got one... And it feels good.

Feel sorry for the OP though and understand his point, unlike most on here. Gone are the days when you could turn up on the day and go stand wherever you wanted. When that stopped is was a very sad day indeed... Took me a while to get over it. But I'm ok now.

But isn't that why we're allegedly planning on extending the stadium?

I'm well chuffed, as i'm living daaarn saaarth i'm seasontiket sharing with a few others, should get to about 7 home games [at least to a couple i'd struggle getting a tiket for normally] then a combination of cup games too, whenever - works out to be about 24 quid a league game... can't fookkin wait

3rd tier is the best view in the ground not the 'crapiest'

not at all saying the best seats should be saved for non season ticket holders but they should still save a range of seating options as many cant afford the more expensive seats, but a typical comment I would expect from some one with a season ticket.

as season ticket holders pay up front, the perk for want of better world is that they get to choose the best seats available and if that means all the best seats are gone by the time the season tickets are done. thats hard cheese.
how would you feel if you had paid £500+ for your season ticket to be put in the gods only to see someone who can only get to 1 game given a prime seat on the half wayline(i'm exagerating a little but you get my drift) you wouldn't think it too fair would you?
