Ha! Good come back AC.

Not really, doesn't take the clowns at Uefa to work that one out.

The Italian league is currently behind Spain, Germany and England on various levels.

Spain has 2 teams.
German league has won what?
England is a strong league as whole
Serie A is a strong league as whole.

Based solely on parity and total strength, Serie A and EPL are the two best in the world.

If you disagree, then it's pure bias.

Serie A being no4 is based COMPLETELY on Europa League failures... where italian teams notoriously field shite teams and drop our early.

Explain to me how a league that has produced 3 CL WINNERS, and a finalist in the past 10 YEARS, is ranked at the no4 league...

Exactly.

If you disagree, then it's pure bias.

Ok, if you say so. To suggest Serie A is currently stronger than La Liga and the bundesliga is laughable.

It is right to rank Spain above Italy but I agree with you totally on Germany. Serie A should be ranked above Germany.

All those awards Bundesliga have these days certainly make it the best, no?

And the parity in La Liga is phenomenal.

so ya, I guess you win

There is parity in Serie A because Inter and Milan have slipped back towards the pack, whilst in Spain over recent seasons Barca and Real have raised the bar.

I'll wager you the winner of the Champs League will come from Spain or Germany. I'll let you take Italy and England..........

Point Differential totals for top 4 leagues from 1st-5th place / 1st- 10th

Spain - 25pts / 30pts
Italy - 12pts / 23pts
Germany - 23pts / 28pts
England - 21pts / 32pts

Interesting stuff, I must say.

Everyone creams over how amazing Juve is these days (and they are), but funny how close they are point wise to 5th and even 10th.

Good parity going on *whistles dixie*

You definitely make a good case for Serie A being the more interesting league at the moment, but that is not the same as strength in Europe. Spain are deservedly ahead of Italy because they've had two winners in the past five years whereas Italy have only had one. But you are right that Italy should be ahead of Germany.

He's a cnut.

He didn't give a fuck about City and constantly took the piss yet some of you carry on like he was a club legend, unbelievable.

I wanted him out of our club a long time back as i could see he was a wrong un for us,just a shame we wasted so much time and money on the screwball.
No he isn't. He's a good guy. It doesn't surprise me in the least that those people who thought he'd slag us off (and you were one of those) haven't had recourse to think, actually, maybe I was wrong about his character. You keep building him up as a twat in your head all you want and you call him a twat all you want, you repeating the same mantra will not change the views of those who had a better read on him than you. I predicted he would praise the fans and Mancini. He did. I was right. You were wrong.

I don't see how he took the piss at all. Did he suddenly fuck off for weeks or months of leave? No. Was he happy sitting on the bench? No, he wasn't. He's not pulled a Wayne Bridge on us. Or a Roque Santa Cruz. Or a Danny Mills. Or a Carlos Tevez. As soon as it became clear he wasn't going to be playing football for us, he left, on reduced wages. I don't see anything about that that comes close to taking the piss. I see a decent person, doing the right thing. A guy who wants to play football, not getting it, moves on for reduced wages with a minimum of hassle and praises the club, the fans and manager whilst doing it.

You're acting as if you've been proved right when you know those of us who like him don't think you have been, at all. On the contrary, I think I'm being proved right.

However, just remember, for now, and all-time:
  • Best goal ratio in our first title-winning season in 44 years.
  • One of the first three City players nominated for the Balon d'Or
  • In his time as a City player, top ten all-time goal ratio in the Premier League (whilst playing much of 10/11 and 12/13 on the left rather than centre-forward)

Great Post and I totally agree. Whenever I saw him speaking he came across as a straight talking intelligent person who could speak Italian English (better than some on here!) and Spanish. He seemed genuine and many people had a soft spot for him. I can see why Mancini liked him and Mario did a good job for us.

The Blue Square Conference is pretty close this year must be a top league due to the parity!

With every goal he scores, he becomes more of a wanker.

If his apologists need any more evidence of his unprofessionalism towards us, in recent months, here it is.

Seems to have got over his bad back, his viruses and general lack of indifference.

It's a miracle!

He also hasn't had the press following his every move. He was an unfair target in this country both on and off the pitch. He was constantly fouled but rarely got a free kick yet he only had to look at someone to get booked.

I've watched all his games for Milan and he looks happy because he is treated fairly,

In the last 10yrs only 1 country has won a CL that isnt Italy, England or Spain (all 3 wins each) - and it's not germany... so ya, as you say... Germany has no effing chance to claim a top 3 spot. not even close.
