Balotelli alleged "stamp" V Spurs

Re: Balotelli Stamp V Spurs

Why is this such a long thread ? No way that was intentional, I don't even see why anyone would think that. He clearly lost his balance standing on one foot. He didnt even see Parker. Just a reflex to put your other foot down and trying not to fall down.

Definite stamp, as you can clearly see.

City can count themselves very fortunate that they didn't have two players sent-off yesterday.

When the FA review the video evidence, both players may well receive suspensions, although that's of little comfort to Spurs.

Oh well...

Re: Balotelli Stamp V Spurs

He clearly didn't make any contact with Parker anyway, so what's all the fuss about? Is 'stamping' on grass a red-card offence these days?

And I don't understand why everyone is analysing it in slow motion; it didn't happen in slow motion so it's pretty much irrelevant as it gives the impression that he had time to think about it and react in a way that would cause Parker some damage. Watch it in real-time and you'll realise that that argument is quite clearly bollocks.

Plus the referee saw it and deemed it not worthy of any action. Under the FA's own rules, nothing can be done about it now, although we know the FA's rules don't apply to us; just ask SWP among a long line of others.

Re: Balotelli Stamp V Spurs

If you're going to stamp then the heel would hit the ground before or at the same time as the front of the foot.

If you've been tripped and are trying to regain balance then the front of the foot strikes first. This is what Balo does.

He also had thr added of Parker pushing him in the back.

The slo mo gif does look bad. But when you watch it in real time I struggle to believe he reacted that quickly. It just looks instinctive... you slam your foot on the floor when you lose your bearings to quickly regain them.
