He is possibly a worse buy than jo. When he's not picked, he's kicking and screaming, and when he is picked he's strolling around the pitch like he owns the fucking thing! Fuck that, Balotelli needs a public lashing off his manager, and looking at Kompany's face in the interview last night, I would be very surprised is he didn't go into that dressing room and dish out a kicking to Balotelli. Vincent was not happy.

And that's exactly my point.

Mancini is not a "fan". He is the manager. It is his responsibility to get the maximum out of the players he has at his disposal.

And I very much doubt his public criticism of Balotelli has made things better.

People shouldn't confuse my views on Balotelli... I thought he was a bad signing when we signed him. I always feared this is how it would end up. But until the end of the season we need everybody available, and that includes Balotelli.

And managers publicly criticising players has rarely worked.

But if anyone can give me good examples of Feguson, Wenger or Ancelotti, I will stand corrected.
