I'm not going to stick up for him in any way, but I think that particular interview he was misquoted. He suggested that Dunne, Distin and he had done a lot to keep us up, which I think was spot on. Clearly had a lot of issues, but a talented player when he wants to be.
If the "contract cancelled" rumours are true, and I've been told they are, then he'll be snapped up by one of the teams destined for a top 6/7 finish.

Barton released on a free. Hope Ashley and Pardew know what they're doing.
I know it's a default setting for all Blues to hate Barton, but he's grown on me in the last 12 months and has shown he can play football consistently well.

to be fair twitter isn't the only sad place, many would say the same of facebook (me) or indeed football forums (the missus)
