Never been to Munich before.... Looking at staying over in a hotel for the Monday & Tuesday night.
Which parts of town are best to look at hotels in with good access to the City centre & the Allianz Arena?

Anywhere near the train station or marienplatz.
We've booked one central between the two so we've got the best of both worlds.

Aim for a train around 3.00. Takes 2 hrs so have a few pilsners en-route. Maybe a bit of brandy if it's cold...
Not seen you for a while, so be good to catch up mate.
If you're in a group getting the train from the airport, get the 38 Euro Bavaria ticket. You can use that from the airport, to and from your digs and then Nuremberg and back.
