Bellamy on his future (and the fall out) {merged}

From a non City fan perspective i can't see what all the fuss is about. Bellamy said nothing wrong.

I think the issue is that no one likes the idea that the coach you've invested your hope in hasn't spoken to him for 5 months and therefore feel the need to take sides. When in reallity does this situation really reflect that badly on anyone? Mancinni obviously has his own styel of management and has been successful in the past with it. he doesn't have to a close relationship with the players. He's got coaching staff to interect with them on a daily basis and he can over see everything. Bellamy himself in the interview said that it isn't a big deal as though he had a good relationship with both Hughes and MON, he didn't really speak to them much either.

Just because the media have made a big deal out fo it, doesn't mean you lot have to. I thought it was a great interview and revealed a bit of insight into the day to day world of football. I think most of us fans assumed that a manager is much more hands on and speaks to his players all the time. But Bellamy's comments about not only Mancinni, but Hughes and MON, tell us otherwise. At the end of the day he just said he really wanted to play for you and said he doesn't speak to your current manager much. And when he says he hasn't spoken to him since Feb, i doubt he meant in literally, but that they hadn't had a proper discussion about his role at the club since then. I'm sure diologue would have been exchanged in the dressing room on match days etc.

I am very disappointed that he is leaving too. Mainly I am disappointed that he wasn't grown up enough to get over the sacking of his beloved Hughes and that it has ultimately led to this.

But surely the job of a manager is too bring around disaffected players - lets be honest no club can change out half a dozen players or more everytime a manager is sacked.

Personally i saw no less effort from Bellamy pre or post Hughes and unless the club proves otherwise i see a player who wants to play for us - its simple if he so desperate to leave and this is just a cover put him in the 25 and see if he hands in a transfer request

What we absolutely know is that he was given permission to talk to Wolfsburg and was offered a very good deal - he refused so we know he is not absolutely desperate to leave and get out of the club

He has made mistakes but if clubs start selling players everytime they made a mistake things would be chaos.

Ned has said similar things on that footy show (cant stand that vlond woman so wont watch it) he aint been banished 0 yes he has been put out on loan but he could come back

Its the duplicity that pisses me off most i guess

I know what you're saying and I do worry that Mancini's man management is suspect, to say the least. But I also can see why the club is being fairly ruthless with the people who have tried to undermine the manager. Clearly someone like tevez has been given more slack because he is much more indispensible but that is just the way football is. For what it is worth, the Nedum interview on Soccer AM was pretty much the worst of the lot for me because he really did talk absolute bollocks in my opinion. I am not sorry to see him go either and I used to have a lot of time for him like most supporters. I have said it before, I think the big mistake was that the club didn't 100% back Mancini in the first place and the players saw an opportunity to try it on. Once you have gone down that road of undermining and not respecting your boss, I suppose it is difficult to just switch the respect back on, so to speak. It is a worry but hopefully the way the club seems to be dealing with any insubordination might give Mancini a chance of getting things back on track.

I supported him until 15 minutes ago. now i just want to see him rot in the reserves. What he has done and said can not be excused. he have shown no loyality towards the club or manager what so ever!

I fucking hate the twat and i dont care how good footballer he is!
I wouldnt care if it were Messi i still would have told him to fuck off.

15 minutes ago?????????/

Yes, if it turns out that City will fine him, then it cant be all BS about his acting towards the club and manager. So if we take it to be true (the guardian article) Then Bellamy deserves to get kicked out of the club or rot in the reserves.

I dont care who the player in question is, you dont fuck with your employer and boss like that,

Not sure where the opinion that "Bellamy doesn't bullshit" has come from or why it is so popular.

It seems it is being mixed up with his willingness to say things that others don't.

I think you'll find that an unwillingness to accept responsibility for his ow childish attitude has been a hallmark throughout his career.

So to now suggest that the bloke only speaks the truth is quiet laughable.

I wonder what Bobby Robson, Graeme Souness or Alan Shearer would have to say about Bellamy speaking the truth about his own behaviour at Newcastle. Or whether Rafa would hold the opinion that Bellamy publicly accepted that his behaviour at Liverpool was wholly unprofessional?

People can spare me the 'being briefed' against tripe too. This isn't a situation like under Hughes where players left, right and centre were having snide suggestions made against them in the press. This is one player who it is widely acknowledged has behaved with a fair amount of disrespect towards the manager. Furthermore, it is a player who has made a habit of it throughout his career.

We would all love to see him perform for City next season like he did in the first half of last season. But he won't be. And it will be down to his own attitude.

The bloke is reaping what he sowed imo. Just like he has throughout his career. One day he will realise that his attitude has caused him to trade a good career for what could have been a great one.

Quite right you are... he's said nothing wrong at all, I guarantee the pricks on here slagging him off do not speak for the majority of match goin fans, fact is he is idolised on the terraces and most fans who watch him in the flesh every week rather than rely on newspaper stories will be pissed off if he is forced out of City..

Bloody hell just read that Guardian article, never knew he 'high fived' Redknapp after we lost to Tottenham; that is as bad as throwing your shirt on the floor. Total disrespect. See how he enjoys playing at Hyde.

I don't think anyone can argue with this good post.

I like the way that you twice imply that people who have a different opinion on Bellamy's comments and behaviour don't go to the match. No need to call people pricks or question their support of the club just because they have a different opinion on something. Incidentally, if there is some truth in the Guardian article and the club do decide to fine Bellamy, who will you support in the matter, City or Bellamy?

I don't imply anything of the sort, I used the words "majority" and "most"... so obv I am aware there may well be the odd poster on here who is also part of the the minority at COMS when it comes to their opinion on Bellers...;)
If they fine him which I very much doubt, as it's merely paper speculation full of "could's" and "maybe's" and "are considerings", then I will think its way out of order.. but there's nothing I or anyone else can do about it..! its not the first time I've seen fans favs pushed out of City for non footballing reasons..and it usually backfires on the manager..

True, and well said.
