Benjamin Mendy - City lose case and Mendy awarded £11m in back pay (p168)

I am suggesting City will probably have to pay up his basic salary but the argument will be over things in the contract like bonuses etc etc. We have no idea what's in his contract so we can't predict the outcome at this point.
They absolutely shouldn’t have to pay the basic salary.
If I was in the same position as him in an ordinary job (I would expect to lose said job) I would not expect to be entitled to be paid if I could not turn up. I would also not expect any performance bonus, Christmas bonus. Doesn’t matter what it says in a contract that’s common bloody sense.

United sacked Ronaldo for breach of contract and that was just for telling the truth about how shit they are.

Mendy had been fined twice before for turning up late to training and was in breach for his behaviours, alone.

One such report had him organising escort girls flying in from Italy to attend a party at Mere Golf and Country.

He's a fucking dog.
He was arrested on a Friday night before we played Leeds on the Saturday. Found hidden under a bed in a brothel in Salford when it was raided. I know the copper who arrested him. Don’t know if charges followed, I assume not seeing it didn’t make the press.

Faced a bankruptcy order from HMRC for unpaid taxes which he clears by selling his house

That's his own fault for not paying taxes, or employing some numptie who didn't do their job properly and make sure his taxes were paid. If the latter is the case, take them to court.

I thought we normally carried out due diligence on potential signings before we bought them. Somebody must have badly fucked up with this clown.

He was just pretending to be a shark.

If that happened you'd have a case against your company, if you were found not guilty, as he was. They can't sack you because you were accused of something and arrested. Suspended maybe.

Jailed you wally. He was jailed for a long time.

incorrect he has never been charged with breaching bail conditions
Its not a charge, its a consequence. What happens is the CPS decide to charge. The police then lay then charge, and you get bailed to court. The courts then impose bail conditions. If you breach those conditions the police can take you back before the court, for breaching their rules. They act on what the court said. It isnt a new charge of a crime, its a broken promise that the court said you have to abide by in order to stay out before the trial is heard
