It’s just a pay rise for a year
And richly deserved.

Nothing lasts foreverNo way. There is some serious talent lost - Gundogan, Mahrez, Laporte, Cancelo
Who knows, but IMO that's a fair reading of the situation. We've persuaded him to stay for another year by giving him some more money and an easy exit option next year. The fact there is apparently a £50 mil releas clause in the contract kinda dampens my enthusiasm for this tbh. I reckon city knew they couldn’t afford to lose him this summer on top of the other outgoings so this is a compromise between all parties for one more year.
Could do without the nonesense pr videos as well and how much he “loves the club”. It’s obvious if Barca had the cash Bernardo would have left years ago. It’s just a pay rise for a year
I think it's hard to make a call until he plays in the middle for a decent chunk of games/time, and therefore has the chance to perform to the level against Newcastle consistently.I don't doubt he can do it brilliantly. But, let's be honest - consistency has been a problem for him.
