Best game you ever attended

I have tried to think of a few more obscure ones.

I loved the fa cup run that ended when we got tonked off Liverpool 4 -0 at home, but before that game there were 2 classics :

1. Huddersfield away first game - 2 - 2 with a gidman late equiliser creating bedlam

2. Blackpool away - an even later Paul lake equiliser with the best goalmouth scramble you will ever have seen......absolute madness in the away end ( and sides ! )

but 1 other that I loved - Walsall away ( 3 - 3 ). 2 - 0 down in no time. Dibble goes off injured. Gleghorn in nets and we storm back to be winning 3 -2. then Oldfield does a crazy backpass in last minute and they nick an equiliser. the game that had it all ! superb entertainment

i enjoyed Leicester away FA Cup winning year. Poznan for Neil Young and where the Poznan first properly took off IMO.

Great atmosphere, great game and great season. Love Notts County away too, brilliant little ground.

West Ham away for me, Sven's first game in charge. Hot sunny day, beers all around London before the game, then we turned up and stuffed West Ham!

Bianchi and Geovanni goals on debut too.

City are back, City are back hello hello. Class day

Does anyone remember the 3-2 at Maine rd v blackburn with Paul Warhurst playing where we were 2 down at half time only to win with a Steve McMahon inspired comeback in the second half?...more recently for me was the 4-1 v the rags at home ohhhhhh yessss!

City 2 - 1 Ipswich in the FA Cup Semi Final 1981 at Villa Park, was behind the goal when Paul Power curled the free kick into the top corner in extra time... Brilliant!!

That was the winner. But the only goal of the game. We won 1- 0.

fair enough, I stand corrected, dont know why I thought it was 2-1 to City? Still a cracking game though and I will never forget that free kick, slow motion until it hit the net

Blackburn away the year they won the title. We were still in a place where we might get relegated and we went to the champions elect and played them off the park with a truly swashbuckling display and won 3-2 but it could have been 7...

I remember a shell shocked Dalglish being interviewed at the end saying "How are they down at the bottom of the division?"

Another random one was 2-1 at villa park when Pearce had just taken over. The win left us needing to beat boro on the last day to get in to Europe. Was a cracking day, bright sunshine, there was a new buzz around the city fans. Shauny wright was brilliant and completely ripped villa to shreds. City fans didn't stop singing all days "we're all going on a European tour" and "where the fucks your rover gone?" To the tune of amerillo.

One of the first games I went to was the 2-2 belter with Blackburn where we came back from 2-0 down with 10 men (tiatto sent off).

My best one though would have to be beating Newcastle 1-0 during the first season at Eastlands, we desperately needed a win to ease the fear of relegation and up stepped wanchope with a brilliant header to win it for us.

Three games spring to mind.

1. Keegan's first game v Watford, electric atmosphere, super football and watching Eyal Berkovic run the show.

2. Play off home game v Wigan. Nervous entertainment !.

3. Blackburn away to win promotion. What a fucking day !.

There have been many many many others, but these 3 seem to stick.

Worst game 3-3 v Bournemouth after being 3 up and seemingly going up !.

Oh I have one more best game.

4. Newcastle at home after getting promotion, Huckerby got the goal, and we played fucking brilliant, with Eyal, Ali and MVF ripping up the midfield.

Great Easter weekend beat Liverpool on Good Friday then Rovers Easter Monday. The Easter double bill seems to have gone now
