I must admit, with this being my first ever 'cut', I have noticed my strength drop off a cliff.
Is it possible you could train first thing before work?

I know some think that drinking a bottle of water while they actually train is enough but it needs to be a few litres during the dayGood advice.
Agreed,i always carry water with me or have it to hand.I know some think that drinking a bottle of water while they actually train is enough but it needs to be a few litres during the day
Crack on pal, good advice always welcome.Feel like im butting here ,hope not
@quiet_riot you say ur on a cut how long are u cutting for ? Is it a short one or longer?
Some try to keep training the same weights they were when normal training, but some get on better by adjusting their weights down slightly but with higherish reps when cutting cos of strength loss
How old are you? I'm nearly 46 and i'm probably in a similar condition then, about 8-10% BF?
Ive come to accept at this time of my life i'm gonna get stubborn areas, its simply a combo of a slower metabolism and Test on the decline. All i do is stay as strict as possible without living like a monk and making her indoors life a misery......and i train every other day.The only 'fat burner' i will use is a double espresso prior to lifting.
I bet you look better than you think.

Up the reps to the 12-8 range and incorporate super/giant sets.Cutting for 5/6 weeks. Aiming to get down to 75kg from 78.
I've been still training heavy, but whereas normally under 5x5 you can add the 2.5kg every workout, this has been harder. To be expected really, but as I say, first time really cutting, so it's all a learning experience.
If doing 5x5 do the same as when you hit a plateauCutting for 5/6 weeks. Aiming to get down to 75kg from 78.

Or go this route both will be beneficialUp the reps to the 12-8 range and incorporate super/giant sets.
That will definitely help.
