Boateng to Bayern

Mike Rigg said we have big plans for him and that the club feels he could be a top CB in Europe. His performances at CB were visibly better than his dud performances at RB.
You don't have to believe me but I'm
Telling you that he's history. Both parties want him gone

We bought a dud, we overpaid for
Him and hiked his wage up to
The level of Germany's top stars.

We have to take what we can for
Him. Don't you think city's negotiatiors are doing what they can? If we walk away from a
Bird in the hand we could well end up with yet more overpaid dead wood clogging up the squad. It's a big problem at city already

Well he's not exactly deadwood is he ?? .. he's played for germany, bayern want him .. he can't be that bad. If he's given a run of games he will come good .. but the negotiatiors need to show this and get his price upto a level we are happy with. If not .. he'll just have to stay as we are not desperate to sell him. He can be a good reserve and play when called upon. That's why we have a squad

If we sell for 7m, it just encourages everyone to take advantage of us.

Letting shit like Bridge walk for no fee isn't a big deal since everyone knows he's overpaid shite. But letting a young player go for 65% of what we paid one year ago, we might as well paint a fucking bullseye on our asses and wait to be raped.

Agreed.

On a related note, I doubt we sell any of our deadwood for near nothing till the last possible minute. If we sell RSC for 3M that would just encourage all the buyers to offer near nothing. So might as well wait till August 30th.

You've got it arse about face mate. When we get to the end of the window we've lost all power in the negotiations as a selling club. Get them out quick so we can concentrate on incoming transfers

I hope your right. We could have sold them last summer, but I guess we were worried about bedding time for new comers, but Bridge, and RSC shouldnt have been here Sept 1st. I hope our back room staff gets this right, or just accepts we are gonna lose money and get it over with.

He is the very definition of dead wood, a player who wants out and is not rated by the club.

7million is no where near enough. It will cost us 3 times as much to replace with an English player that is half as good.

If the club don't rate him just a year after expecting great things from him, then surely they must have some serious questions for whoever provided the scouting report on him.

Do you mean that Boateng is not rated by Mancini ! The man who bought him !!!
