Bobby Charlton passes away at the age of 86

Too young to have seen him play in his pomp but by all accounts one of the very best. Hated him in his incarnation as a Director at Rag HQ though. All that said, very sorry for his family and friends and RIP

Getting old is awful.

Shocking in the sense it wasn’t picked up till a few days later,he could be still here if they’d have checked him properly, but unfortunately accidents like this are all too common in nursing homes or at home ..

Bit spooky but the Pub down the road from his nursing home "The Frozen Mop" closed on the 2nd October as costs were running out of control.

You would think that things like window sills and central heating untis would have padding placed on top to prevent injuries from falls.
Not blaming the home who looked after him at all.

I watched the highlights of that Greece match, and I know he came up trumps at the end but it took him 7 free kicks at goal to do so!
