Booing our heroes

The unfortunate irony for Garcia yesterday is that the things that he did very well - that were to our benefit - are precisely the things that wind most Blues up about him.

He truly was damned if he did and damned if he didnt.

Im hardly his bigest fan but thats incredibly unfair.

You heard actual boos? As in people cupping their hands and booing?

I don't think so.

You heard groans, moaning and swearing on cue at every error by thousands of people.

Dzeko and Garcia got stick yesterday, but they weren't booed.

I agree though, the negativity gives a poor impression of our support especially when the atmosphere is poor as it was yesterday. I don't like it.

But like I said, you have to make a distinction between getting booed and getting stick, it's an important one to make.

Stop telling me what I heard and what I didn't hear. I sense a certain arrogance in your posts, but frankly you must have not only the best seat in the house but also bionic fucking hearing, if you can hear every noise in the whole stadium. I was sat in EL2, a bit left of centre as you face the pitch, and on 2 occasions yesterday , LIKE I SAID, I hear people BOO Edin Dzeko, probably 3 or 4 people each time, but next time I will get their fucking names and seat numbers for you, is that ok now? FFS

I am in the same area of the ground and I heard booing too. Surprise, surprise "these fans" got to their feet when Dzeko scored.

well we must both have been hallucinating mate because ksh said it didn't happen several times, and he was in all parts of the ground at the same time, all of the time

Some bloke in front of me giving Dzeko stick every time he touched the ball, jumped about like a loon when he scored turned round to give me high five just told him to fuck off

There's a bloke behind me and he's fucking killing me. Always there with a miserable bastard face whingeing like fuck all the way through. Gonna have to move seats cos I can't take it anymore. I dunno why he goes. Sad little life. Pathetic little man.

-- Sun Dec 29, 2013 2:35 pm --

And I quite liked Aleks for giving the finger to the section of the South Stand that booed him at the end of last season.

As did I. Was very amusing and the reaction was almost Arsenal/Adebayor-gifworthy.

Nah he was being a wanker. Don't hold it against him though - couldn't care less, but he was being a nob at the time

Sometimes I feel like chinning the pricks near me. Instead of supporting the team they choose to abuse Garcia, Kolarov and Dzeko.

I wonder when they started supporting us?

As much as I hate having Garcia in the side and as much as Dzeko frustrates me, I wouldn't even consider barracking them at a match. Just doesn't ever improve anything.

Gets me every time.

Do you love the club?

Do you think it inspires Dzeko and Garcia?

What do you hope to achieve? It's well documented that players feed off the crowd support, get behind the team or get yourself down to the swamp, you aren't wanted.

I don't boo or drone on about them on football phone ins, but no amount of inspiration is going to make Garcia less s**t. Dzeko is a momentum/form player. Garcia just isn't good enough.

He was being a knob. When they are being a knob they deserve to get a barracking (after all, our season tickets pay their wages... Sort of. That and the Sheikhs' money) , but not when they are performing. Doesn't help.

I like Kolarov personally, but he was being a nob

The only time I have ever booed was at a pantomine. I gave those ugly sisters plenty after the way they treated Cinderella.

I can understand why someone may boo a player, or players, for not trying. I believe Garcia tries his best. However, I am not convinced the same could be said for DzekO.

Where I sit (325), the atmosphere is terrible bit no-one,nearby whinges about individual footballers. I would move to a block with a better atmosphere but I dread being placed close to a whinger(s).
