Booing our heroes

I heard people boo Dzeko yesterday, I also heard people shouting he is a lazy fucker, he is shit, get him off and loads more similar shit. There were at least 2 occasions when whole sections of the crowd made their negative feelings towards Edin clear at the same time. Our support yesterday was as quiet as I can remember, and the main noise was negative, appalling. If anyone who reads this forum and its continued abuse of Edin Dzeko really think that some of those same negative sentiments don't manifest themselves at the matches then they are seriously deluded

You heard actual boos? As in people cupping their hands and booing?

I don't think so.

You heard groans, moaning and swearing on cue at every error by thousands of people.

Dzeko and Garcia got stick yesterday, but they weren't booed.

I agree though, the negativity gives a poor impression of our support especially when the atmosphere is poor as it was yesterday. I don't like it.

But like I said, you have to make a distinction between getting booed and getting stick, it's an important one to make.

Stop telling me what I heard and what I didn't hear. I sense a certain arrogance in your posts, but frankly you must have not only the best seat in the house but also bionic fucking hearing, if you can hear every noise in the whole stadium. I was sat in EL2, a bit left of centre as you face the pitch, and on 2 occasions yesterday , LIKE I SAID, I hear people BOO Edin Dzeko, probably 3 or 4 people each time, but next time I will get their fucking names and seat numbers for you, is that ok now? FFS

And pics of course. :)

Two things.

Did I mention yesterday's game? It's been going on ALL SEASON (and last), plus are you ubiquitous?

People have been booing our own players all season? Booing by the actual definition, and not groaning/heckling?

Excuse me for not taking you seriously.

Right, I've heard people BOO-ING all season long, to the utter detriment to the team we claim to SUPPORT, this is mainly from the BELL-END, make of that what you will.

I call bullshit.

Agree with the OP's general thoughts but not with the title.

A player is not automatically a hero of mine purely by virtue of putting on the shirt. They have to earn that status.

Id never boo Garcia or Dzeko but neither will I ever regard them as heroes.

Incidentally the former had a very competent game yesterday and credit to him for that.

Frustrated cries of come on! do not equal boos.

Still even that is not helpful. You can't help it though, and no amount of cries for patience will make any difference

As awful as Garcia and Dzeko were yesterday they shouldn't be booed, however I didn't hear any whatsoever and I didn't leave early or arrive late.

WTF are you on about???? he was ok yesterday and do the job MP asked him to do..wtf do you want from him at all??? he is a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER his MAIN attributes are to protect the defense..if we are expecting from him to make our attacking way then why the hell we have players like silva nasri or aguero in the squad?????? to many people on here want garcia or dzeko to play at a level like aguero or yaya..it's not posible!!!!!!!

Gets me every time.

Do you love the club?

Do you think it inspires Dzeko and Garcia?

What do you hope to achieve? It's well documented that players feed off the crowd support, get behind the team or get yourself down to the swamp, you aren't wanted.

I don't know how old you are or how long you have been supporting the club but the City 'boo boys' go back many decades.
This is nothing new and trust me when I tell you that both Garcia & Dzeko are getting off very lightly compared to some past players.
Its fortunate for all that results are going our way otherwise they really would get some stick.
I'm not saying the booing & abuse is right or I agree with it (I most certainly don't) but its nothing new and its no surprise.

It is a joke and on the day we went top of the league, it's embarrassing. Thing is, the idiots who were at it yesterday in the North Stand are not 'new fans', they are blokes who were at Maine Road and really should know better.

Calm down mate, Garcia offered nothing yesterday.

Garcia played in defensive midfield and won a considerable amount of headers which also weren't aimless they found a blue shirt and he rarly give it away on the deck, sometimes palace players got past him and got a long shot off due to his pace but this happens to Yaya all the time aswell and we did keep a clean sheet so surely he's done his job. As for dzeko say of him what you want reality is we won 1-0 and he scored the winning goal and there was nobody else in our squad (barring Aguero) I would have wanted that cut back to come to, was a tidy finish. we're blessed at city to have the hard working strikers like Alvaro and Sergio. Edin is a different player offers different angles and gives a centre half something else to worry about, yes his forst touch can be well off at times and he can look lazy but he scores important goals that's what matters.

Heard a lot of negativity towards these two yesterday not boos but negativity and you could see this come out in the performances. Everyone has there own opinion but in the stadium just get behind them, because your moaning and groaning ain't gonna make it better and it certainly ain't gonna make pellers change his tactics.

I've been to every game since dzeko signed and ive never heard any booing. In fact I commented at the match yesterday that he probably gets his name sung more than any other. Which I actually find surprising given some of his displays.
He gets anything but a raw deal from city fans.
