Again, given that he’s really a 10, he must be delighted with how tonight went. Would like to see Pep rotate him and Foden on the bench for the next run of league games so they can both get some minutes.

Think one of his problems long term is that City don’t really play with a 10 although there is more tactical variation this year so you never know. As it stands, he’s someone who can do a job on the wing due to his quick feet and dribbling skills but not where he’s most effective. For my own curiosity would love to see him play in a diamond with Foden, DeBruyne and Delph in the quarter final.
Good shout that..interesting. .very interesting

I think your 10 assertion is definitely the issue, his best position by far but not really a conventional role in this team... if he’s smart he signs the extension as pep is the perfect coach to develop his abilities, sadly though I think this is already done!!

I think if it was done Pep would have been very reluctant to play him

Is he right or left footed?
Taked penalties with his right for the EDS, so he's naturally right footed, but his left foot seems to be just as good, as you could see from the second goal last night, the goal against Real Madrid and many goals for the EDS. Read somewhere that when he was younger he forced himself to only use his left foot for a whole year, both in training and in games, to improve his left foot. Seems like that has worked fine

The problem here is agent's.Yes,the kid is a wonderful talent and elsewhere he will get regular playing time, but here he has the opportunity of learning his craft under Pep and alongside our superstars.I think he would be very wise to consider what he might be throwing away.

Brilliant performance & not unsurprisingly looked knackered late on.

He's ready to be on rotation with our other 3 wide players and should be treated as such.

Bernie's days out wide should be at an end as he should now be in rotation with Kev/Merlin.

Just move to one CH on the bench, get him properly involved now Pep.

He did well last night and has given Pep something to think about. I still feel Foden is ahead of him in terms of getting a bench place for Premier League games but hopefully he will get some time soon.

In previous seasons injuries to players like Gab, Kun etc. would have given him more chances. Not wishing injuries on any of our senior players but that happening could be key in whether Brahim stays or not.

Would be great if he could sign a deal and we could send him on loan to Girona next season.

You can tell that Foden rates him by the chemistry on the pitch. We cannot afford to let this lad leave and hopefully Diaz will want to stay under Peps guidance

Two goals is not a bad night at all but far too lightweight and didn't show much else I thought. Took too many easy options when Foden would have tried to create something. But on the other hand he hasn't had much opportunity and it took Foden a few games to start finding his feet. Also not really his natural position but he'd find out a lot more competitive in the middle of the park, where KDB and the two Silvas can look after themselves.
