I reckon we might see him play in Abu Dhabi next week against Hamburg, hopefully against Boro as well.
He was special tonight even if Coventry were pretty dismal. The reality is that we have a very good team at that level and some real quality player either didn't get off the bench or were not even in the squad. That level of quality in the team massively helps Brandon show the talent hat he has. You simply cannot allow him the space or time to get the ball down and run at a defence. In his current form he will rip teams apart and he did that tonight with ease.

He genuinely can go either way,he is seriously quick, his decision making is getting better and better re when to take a shot on,to take the full back on,whether to go outside or inside or just lay the ball back for it to moved around again for a better opening..

It would be brilliant if he got some time against Hamburg or in the FA Cup.

Indeed mate.

I am really excited about Brandon's future and the fact he is a local Manc lad just makes it even more special.

I think on current form he deserves to go with the senior team to play Hamburg and try and prove to Pellegrini he should be playing against Boro, and who knows if he impresses he could even get a start!

He just needs to keep on working and not let everything get to his head, he still has a long long way to to yet.

He does have a long way to go but I get the feeling his head is screwed on just right.I liked his interview on the OS recently which gave me even more confidence about him.His talent is blatant for all to see and currently his confidence is sky high so surely he needs to be at least looked at.

It will be interesting to see if he does get a loan offer from Wednesday.

In some regard I would want him to do it but at the same time I think the Under 19's need him if they want any chance of winning the UEFA Youth League because attacking wise he is the best player.

To only just have been promoted to the EDS in the summer and then get a loan to the Championship in the space of 6 months would be pretty impressive.

He looks ready for a stint at professional club but the only slight doubt is Sheffield Wednesday are going for a play off place and his chances may be limited.

Possibly, but if Stuart Gray was down at the academy last night watching Brandon he must be looking at him with the potential of playing him I would have thought.

I reckon City being on BT Sport with Chelsea last Thursday potentially opened up a can of admirers for some of our young lads, apparently 80 scouts were at Hyde last week.

I think technically he is definitely good enough to play professional football, but physically the Championship could be a huge wake up call to Brandon and could potentially knock his confidence back. I would like to see how he fairs against Boro in the cup before making the move because he has only just turned 18 a few months ago.

I'd agree Sam, when I saw Gray at first I thought wow we must have a lot of confidence in Brandon, to send him straight to the Championship. That could've just been a coincidence or he could've been looking at others, but who knows.

You guys seem to know your onions when it comes to the EDS - my question is d'you think Barker could break into the first team squad next season? I'm curious because I've seen him play twice and both times he's looked the best player on the pitch by quite some distance. In terms of his development how far behind Lopes is he for example?

I think you could put him in the 1st team squad now and bring him on for last 20mins at home games. He could be a revelation against a tiring defence.
With is speed and is direct running no defender would enjoy playing against him.

I know it might not go down too well saying it on here... but does he not remind anyone else of a young Ryan Giggs?

Minus the shagging his family members part.

Maybe not as fast or 'wispy' but definite similarities in their style and directness, and returning to the physique debate, which i'm utterly unconcerned about........Brandon looks far more powerful than Giggs ever did.
