The 94/95 team was 3 players short of being a decent top half outfit. In defence we were especially lacking and we struggled with the keeper position when Coton wasn’t available.

He was at the Failsworth branch a couple of weeks ago aswell, great craic told some very good stories, sold a few books so he was happy

We had a decent side and played some really good attacking football.
Coton, Curle, Flitcroft, Lomas, Beagrie and Summerbee on the wings, Uwe, Walsh and Quinn up top

He seems to have developed an attachment for us down the years. He wasn't the worst manager we had, not by a long stretch. That was a fun side to watch, if a little scary at times.

Not the most successful, but a real football man and genuinely nice man.

He was very good, sadly most of our fan base didn't want him to start with, because they didn't know who he was.

He played an attacking style of football that we were recognised for, he just didn't have the time, or standard of player to fulfil it.

His football was brilliant, a very likeable manager. That 5-2 Spurs game was something else
