It would have been interesting to see the incident from another angle, which would have made clear what contact there was on Haaland from the Brighton player. It looked like their player initiated the contact, but the only camera angle showed Erling pull at his shirt, which was clearly conclusive enough for the geniuses on the VAR controls.

Yep. It was a foul.It was still a pull on the Brighton player if it had been given as goal against us I'd have been pissed off.

Might be a good team, but the rags is a much harder game.Thank God City aren't playing Brighton in the FA Cup final. They're a very good team.

It's because we were man marked all over the pitch for 90mins. There was no easy outball for our keeper.He shouldn't have been given the ball as much, we passed back more than ever tonight

Gundo and Kev need his power and positional sense,without that they are a shadow of themselves and look very vulnerable to the counter.

I don't think Pep will do anything drastic tactically or in terms of lineup for either final, but for anyone concerned about that, it was a good game to show the need for Rodri central. Gundo can play the DM role in certain games but as soon as there's a bit of pressure or a physical battle he's lost. Even against Leeds, where he'd been very good for most of the game, as soon as they started pushing forwards and lumping balls into the box he lost his grip on the game and we had to send Rodri on. There's not a chance Rodri doesn't play both games at DM if fit.
The last CL final was influenced by previous games between Pep and Tuchel and he made a call which didn't work. Much is made of it, but we could have still won that game with a tactical change (which Pep did make) if De Bruyne hadn't have been assaulted. When he went off the pitch our chances went with him.

As much as Gundo has been superb for us,its the reason i think we need to set aside sentiment and look at replacing him now.By all means give him a new acceptable deal,but we would be fools to not bring in a player that is the future as well.

Ortega - 8/10 - made some great saves, couple of wobbly moments with ball at his feet but still looked assured. Nothing he could do about the goal
Walker - 7/10 - kept Mitoma relatively quiet
Stones - 6/10 - looked tired
Rodri - 6/10 - some stray passes
Silva - 6/10 - not his best game for sure, rare he's not a 7+ out of 10
Gundo - 6/10 - wasn't as dangerous as he had been recently. Made some good passes though
KDB - 6/10 - played ok until going off
Mahrez - 4/10 - non existent, another poor game. Looks demotivated. Awful defensively
Foden - 8.5/10 - MOTM, good goal and could've had a couple of assists. Much better in this central mid role. Hope to see more of that next season
