I think Croft was only taken out of the starting team because O'Connell is out and Parling in. He offers less bulk so Lydiate is in to make it up

Parling and Croft play together all the time, and it works fine.

The Aussies play much more expansive rugby than the Lions.

Both look solid defensively but making mistakes at key times. Aussies still look favourites to me.
