Bruno Guimaraes

Tolmie has said 1 maybe 2 midfielders.

Imagine Bruno is the first choice for one spot other is depending on Kovacic/Bernado/Nunes maybe.

I wonder if Bruno is the player that wants to know about Pep as reports all suggest Pep wants Bruno. He’ll be on a great deal at Newcastle and will only get better if PSR changes and they get back in Europe. City might be one of the only teams he’d leave that for.
 
Am I right in thinking with a release clause the money has to be payed up front rather than over the period of the contract? might still end up having to pay £100 million but with more favourable terms

depends on the terms. spanish ones are all upfront, this has rumours of a pay structure in it arlready,
 
seen it mentioned on social media by someone called Lee Ryder that the date the clause has to be triggered by is the 24th?

Would have to be done before then anyways as Brazil start copa america June 25th. Will be next week or won’t happen. Personally don’t think we do it

This just isn't true, Pep Txiki and Soriano will already have discussed which position needs strengthening, they will have discussed which players meet the criterion,what the budget is, and Pep will have left it to Txiki and Soriano with their list to get the player. Pep won't need to break off his holiday to do demanding or begging. None of us have any idea on the main target nor our budget.
 
It's a lot of money and a figure we're usually reluctant to hit...unless Pep wants the player that much. We spent it on Grealish because Pep was obsessed with him coming. Same for Gvardiol.

We bid it for Rice too despite it being obvious he wasn't coming here.

Pep telling Bayern he doesn't want Kev, for him to then rock up here and then Pep 12 months later. Sterling was so obviously a Pep signing given Pellegrini had no idea how to use him.

Please City and Pep Don't Pay £100million for him, He's not worth it.

I heard again today that City have agreed to sign him, If we get mugged off by Newcastle and have to loan Phillips out again my head will blow, Phillips is a very good player and just needs to be loved by a club and a manager to believe in him, £20million buys a very good player.

Bruno Guimaraes does not move to another club for £100million never going to happen in today's market
City are still getting mugged off in the transfer market and will never learn,

£60million at the most and even throw Phillips in as a free bee

What has worth got to do with it, we are talking ten of millions of pounds, of course nobody is really worth it. That’t the wrong question though. Only two questions matter,
1 is he the best player available for the role needed in the team - I think he probably is, the club seem to as well.
2. can we afford him - only the club know that.
If 1&2 are yes then get him if we can.
Phillips is irrelevant to the conversation, they will find a solution to that one way or the other.

Who would you sign instead of Bruno G? From available players out there? Genuine question. I can only think of Neves as an alternative since he has a release clause.

Is he worth 100m? These are the prices nowadays. If he gives us 5-7 years at the highest level, then he is worth every penny.

edit: If signing Bruno G for 100m will make Pep stay longer with us, I say sign 10 more Bruno G's ;).

Neves over this guy everyday of the week. Has a higher ceiling for sure and younger. A better way to spend £100mill in my opinion

I agree, I would also pick Neves. Pep wants what he wants, though, and Bruno G is a great choice as well.
