On the red card thing.. there is a pundit who works on RTE here in Ireland, John Giles, he has an interesting point on the penalty and red card scenario, his thoughts are,
1. Give the penalty
2. If the penalty is scored, no further punishment.
3. If the penalty is missed, red card.

Could lead to a lot of penalties being blazed over the bar, dependant on the situation of course.

That's gotta be one of the dumbest suggestions I've heard regarding rule changes. And there's been a few pearlers.

'Pearlers', not heard that for yonks.

Yonks! That word is class :D

Hahaha all these people whinging about Mr Monotone...didn't your mute button work?

Oh so it's the subscribers' fault that , ahving paid for picutures AND punditry, all they can rely on is pictures

FFS do subscribers not have a right to decent informed objective analysis, rather than some pathetic, biased, bitter hacks?

The difference between Neville and Ickle Mickey is as stark as that between, in rugby, Bill McClaren (brave and fair) and the buffoon Beaumont (who went on to get the sack)

Why TF is the Owen idiot still being given airtime (he is an intellectual and sporting waste of space) ???????? Who the fook is paying this person ?

Exactly. Joe didn't know that Ade would not make a firm connection. He would have been preparing himself to make a save from Ade's header. Therefore it has affected play. Therefore offside.

The assistant gave the offside because he said Dawson was off. Ade didn't come into the decision making process for him.

He was wrong. We dodged a bullet. Thank fuck.

Now you're falling for the bollox the big daft numpty presenter was banging on about. Do you really think the ref told a bt reporter why he gave the decision, and in such detail?
'BT sport understands.,,,,,,,' my arse

Agreed. Aren't refs not permitted to speak to reporters under any circumstances? Seems hard to believe the ref would risk loosing his job breaking an FA rule.

I don't think i've heard anyone say a good word about Owen. The United lot think he's pro Liverpool, a Liverpool fan I work with says he's pro Everton! Fuck knows what Everton fan think, and it's fair to say he's not flavour of the month with City fans.
Class comment on here yesterday: Have you noticed how Owen sounds like Zippy from Rainbow?

haha!

after owen gets his, this bitter twat is next on the list, a total kunt, wouldnt let the penalty or the offside goal drop

jake humprey, class A prick

Dunno it it's a rule but there's no way he told them anything of the sort.

I agree completely that the ref was awful last night:
- Clear penalty when Bentaleb virtually caught the ball (juggled it like an England slip fielder) => not given
- Zabaletta completely up-ended on the edge of the box - NO CALL
- Adebayor lunges his body in front of Demichelis and sticks his foot on his body => Demichelis gets booked
- Aguero clouted in the face by Dawson => NO CALL
- Capoue stamps violently on David Silva's foot => No card of any colour.

About the only correct decision was ruling out the offside goal. The penalty we got was borderline. The defender did catch Dzeko's left leg slightly before the ball - question is whether that impeded or up-ended Dzeko. I wouldn't have been upset if that wasn't given. But assuming the other calls above had been correct, my bet is the score would have ended up little different.

Does it really matter if he touched the ball? Had he knocked it out of play and brought the player down fair enough but the ball remained less than a metre away from Dzeko, as he got the faintest of touches, and had he not been brought down he still would have got to it. Correct decision but still a harsh red card. I expected a yellow and would have been happy with that.

Bt sport take the p,,a .I fancied watching spurs match and thought it would be about twelve quid to subscribe.they wanted fifteen quid for the match and another fifteen to connect me as only a sky customer.fifteen quid to press a button the robbing gets.took my son two minutes to get a reasonable stream on his computer and bobs your uncle. Never again will I waste my time with bt

Watched BT for the first time last night in the pub and ended up screaming at the TV. Owen kept going on about the injustice of the penalty decision but they never mentioned Bentaleb's impersonation of LeBron James.

Owen is just fucking appalling generally. No wonder they want Andy Gray back.

As for the offside, they kept saying he's got it wrong as he'd told them he was flagging Dawson. But Adebayor was 100% offside and active yet they as good as said that didn't matter.

I watched the whole game back again last night to see why Owen is getting so much stick (when I watched it the first time it was JHIAC who wound me up by his constant nagging about the Dzeko foul). For a while I thought he was ok as he seemed to be appreciating how City were playing overall, but then came the stamp on Demichelis and I was rendered absolutely speechless. Owen spent about three minutes justifying Adebayor's appalling tackle by saying that it was ok to put your studs through a defender because it was better to get your retaliation in first especially when they were sliding in on you to take you out; he even giggled when he said he used to do it. Demichelis' sliding tackle was not dirty, not studs up and it was perfectly timed. Owen is a despicable excuse for a human being and I'm just glad we never fell for his agent's con trick and had him playing for us. MOIAFC.

Well it doesn't look like City have bought BT Sport . Because what I watched on Wednesday was lets say complete turd . By the way BT sports your job is to praise City not knock us .
