You could argue that someone who changed his nationality after a certain date, let's say at age 16 or 18 or whatever shoulnd't be allowed to play for his "new" country.
Yes, that was my point. Nothing against Cacao, but there should be a certain age in the rules

The whole discussion is really strange. No one questioned Zidane playing for France or is questioning Benzema now. Or Balotelli, he got the italian nationality when he turned 18. Should he play for Ghana? Of course not. I really think it's shocking that it's such a big deal for so many people with the german nationalteam - you find that stupid argument about Özil, Khedira, etc. not being "real germans" in every football board I visited since the world cup 2010.

i find it quite funny, when people outside germany have a bigger problem with the german team being not blond and blue-eyed than the germans themselves

Pretty decent game. Bayern should of had a penalty imo, one thing that suprised me was how strong Bayern´s second team was. Got a bit heated at the end, Rafinha embarrased himself, the prick should of just walked of.

Well, that wasn't quite what I expected.

Dortmund rested Hummels, Reus and Bender with Götze and Piszczek injured. Reus and Bender came on later.
Bayern with excessive changes to their usual starting lineup. The only players from their usual starting 11 were Neuer, Boateng and Alaba. Müller came on as a sub.

After seeing how Dortmund struggled against Bayerns second string (who were down to ten men from minute 65 onwards) while pretty much playing their best eleven currently available I can't help but feel they'll get hammered in the CL final. There's that much of a gap between the Bayern I saw yesterday and the Bayern I saw against Barcelona and Juventus. No matter how much of a tactical genius Klopp may be, I don't think they'll be able tu pull one on Bayern this time. This years CL got Bayern written all over it. Lost it at home to a club from London to win it in London one year later. The perfect plot.

I was just asking tbh, in the German eyes Gareth Bale is English. Thankfully, we as a nation and Bale himself has more respect.

Haha would be funny for them to win it in London now indeed. Dortmund can give them a run for their money and it will be pretty close, problem is if things don't go well for them they don't really have someone that can come off the bench and help them. Whereas, as it you could see yesterday even the so called "B Team" of Bayern play very good. I can't wait for that final to be honest, should be a cracking game!

Borrusia Dortmund v Byern Munich

They played each other in the League yesterday and what a fiery affair. Deliberate trips, elbows and other snide challenges all the way through the game.

I expect the CL final will be equally ill-tempered, with the team that keeps more players on the pitch probably winning it.

so Dortmund were pretty much full strength despite not starting 5 key first teamers? right...

methinks you're a Bayern fan.

Re: Borrusia Dortmund v Byern Munich

Wishlist for May:

1. FA cup and no injuries.
2. Announcement of some exciting transfers in.
3. Chelsea tripping up and not getting into top 4
4. Klopp and boys shredding die deutche rags at Wembley.

I reckon this will be a repetition of the Spain v Holland World Cup Final - a foul and free kick every two minutes. I hope they kick the crap out of each other and the TaxDodger and his sidekick KarlHeinz come out with some well chosen 'bons mots' or are they ''gute wörte'?

Who will have the pleasure of whistling this one?
