I always remember a guy I used to work with told me that he caught somebody who had broken into his house. He decked him, sat on top of him and phoned the police.

The police came and took the intruder away. Not long after the police came back and arrested the guy whose house it was that got broken into!

He had to drop the charges on the guy who broke into his house, because he was going to press charges on him for punching him, which he didn't want because he had a record from the past and it would've affected his job.

damn, they should have given him four years in the electric chair; no justice these days!

if someone tried to break into my property while my kids sleep they are getting it.
i have done it before when living on sale racecourse estate.
my missus woke me up in the night saying she could hear some one breaking in, i ran downstairs and this guy was halfway in my living room window.
I picked up my rounders bat and cracked him round the face twice.
He ran away and i never found out who it was but ill tell you this if a knife was the first thing i was able to get hold of that's what i would have used without a doubt.
and if you think its not right ill tell you another story.
in the same house whilst i was at work at a pub i got a phone call from my missus in a right state.
when i had ran all the way home i walked in to see my missus with a huge blackeye.
she had left the back door unlocked for me while she went and got a bath.after getting out of the bath she could hear someone downstairs opening and closing cupboards and drawers in my kitchen.
Thinking it was me she proceeded to walk down stairs and as she got to the bottom someone jumped out from round the door and knocked her out, she was left unconcious for god knows how long while my 2 and 3 year old kids where asleep in their beds.
so on that note, would i kill some one who was tresspassing on my property?
Fucking right i would!
what would any of you do in my position?

same as you si....i'm afraid i would fight to the death for my kids n family...dont take any chances, twat the fuckers first and worry later

i would do some serious damage though

And if you woke naked and 4 of them were in your bedroom already and tooled up?

Re: Burglar stabbed to death, Manchester

its that split second decision.

"is risking my life worth the car/t.v/p.c.?"

probably not but im not sure i could let some cheeky fucker get away with it.

im saying that now but in the situation i dont know what i would do, maybe just hide under my bed lol.

in regards to do the burglars deserve it? they deserve everything that comes at them when going into somebody's home, if its death tough shit.

He deserved all he got in my eyes , he shouldn't be trying to burgle anyones property , and there's always a chance of confrontation ....... no doubt though that the householder will be severely interrogated , maybe even jalied , as his actions will probably be deemed to be 'extreme'.

Anyone would do the same to protect their property though. You would hardly say, "yeh come on in, take what you want. What's mine is yours pal. Invite your friends in aswell."

it depends, are they dressed as batman?

Re: Burglar stabbed to death, Manchester

The only danger with passing laws that allow householders to use excessive force is you will get people being dragged round to someone's house and being done over with the view to making it look like burglary. I'm not saying that has happened in this case but it is a real danger.

unless they have something over 2 1/2ft long and razor sharp then im afraid one or two would be missing arms or body parts before they took me down

This may happen 1 in 1000 cases but in general the new ruling is spot on. Well done to the guy who killed the burglar, scum bags the lot of them!!!
