Burnley

Burnleys takeover is just a filler for the aggressive american owners of red clubs. They need to get a majority american ownership into the prem so they can force change, once change happens and it becomes a closed shop franchise style league, then that's when the likes of Burnley will make money. Until then Burnleys place will be to swell the number of American owners to force change .
I suppose they do represent a cheap way to buy another vote - made more attractive by low aspirations and Dyce guaranteeing fat Sam style relegation avoidance.

Totally agree mate burnley will never be as big as us, i doubt they will extend the stadium? & would it be beneficial? like i said earlier burnleys biggest prob now becomes attracting the next level of player to take them up a level, we threw money at players after our takeover because we were still a “big club” burnley dont have that luxury

money can only take you to the next level ? its the fan base that is needed to become a big club

Someone may know better than me but I can't see why their running costs are so high against thei revenue?

Can't imagine their wage bill being huge nor do they part with much in transfer fees.

The sceptic in me would say that American ownerships won't be allow to fall through the trapdoor now - unsubstantiated but a very real threat all the same for me..........

maybe its just a quick buck making and then off ? American ownerships are the new fashion with the money people in the usa and plenty will get burnt

The American owners want a nice sterile league that they fully control, no relegation and a cut from every merchandise opportunity going, All clubs merchandise will be provided by the prem league official outlets, all food kiosks etc will be official prem league outlets, very little will be club controlled per se. It will be the NFL/NHL formula in the uk , the only good thing is I don't think the fans would support it .
