Can we afford to let Barry go?

Problem is the answer may now have to wait until January!
Maybe. I'm still of the opinion we should move to a 4-3-3. Would solve a lot of ills.

I agree about going 4-3-3 but that could mean playing only one of Aguero, Negredo and Dzeko; unless Kun will play out wide. I would like to see how a front three Jovetic, Aguero and Navas fares.

Aguero seems to play fairly well to the left and switching central. I think Negredo and Jovetic would both be willing to play that kind of role, too. Dzeko is best used in a very central position, though. Not saying it couldn't work with him, though.

Think its a huge mistake if he is sold....

It is cleat that a midfield duo of yaya and ferd doesnt work....infact I think many on here would have predicted that so I'm nit sure why pellers is,doing it but that's another argument.

If yaya and ferd are going to play then there must be a third midfielder in there....that player is,either Barry or rodwell. Garcia just isn't good enough. It's either that or buy a replacementwhivh is highly unlikely at this point in the transfer window.

Of course this is going to lead to playing with onlyone sticker unless he is going to drop Silva or navas.

Interesting to see how jovetic fits into all this as well, but at the moment the balance in midfield is completely wrong and it will cost us more pointsif the manager continues with it especially against stronger opposition

MP has had enough chances to look & clearly is not impressed by Barry. If he cannot get in the squad for Cardiff or Hull it is difficult to see where he will figure. Unless we are keeping him in case we draw Accrington in the FA Cup. Definitely would not get in against Wigan as we all remember how he cost us the final in May.
So the answer is YES.

wow first he cost us the southampton game now the cup final !! the 2 games i watched we were shit to a man and deserved to lose both .looking back maybe we didnt play our part as fans chanting for a manager who was clearly disliked by the players but its only come to light since.maybe we should have got behind the team like we did at the semi ?

if he goes to Everton even on loan then that will make it easier for Everton to let Baines and Mophead go to the rags

Personally I think the decision to get rid of Barry is more down to Txiki than Pellegrini and its more to do with the wage bill than football.
