CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Surprised that no one mentions that the Chelsea owner may now no longer be perceived as a fit and proper owner. Resulted in us and other European countries refusing him a Visa, now having to hide out in Israel/Palestine. Is it surprising that the media will not raise this, and if he is no longer perceived fit and proper can he not be compelled to sell the club? That would then surely put Chelsea in a precarious position.

Great post PB. I'd just take a slight issue with Gibson's money rebuilding the stadium. I assume you're referring to the post war reconstruction. Neither Gibson nor United paid a penny towards the extensive costs of rubble clearance and rebuilding. Gibson "used his influence" (we all know what that means) to successfully lobby for the costs to come out of public funds in an austerity ridden UK.

"When the Luftwaffe bombed the Old Trafford stadium in 1941, it was again Gibson who was the club's saviour, using his influence to ensure Parliament would provide funding for United." A quote from an old article I saved for any rags who deny this ever happened.
So with improvements for the '66 world cup that's at least three times they have benefited from public money. Does anyone know if they got anything for the euro championships in the 90's.

Did the deluded poster who caused that well evaluated post come back with a counter or never to be seen again on this forum?

Well i got a response, and i think its fair to say that someone has been well and truly put in their place......

Depends on who makes that call, if it's Ceferin and it suits his reform agenda then he might be happy for it to be.
Whatever happens with the judgement I think City should do everything they can to ensure that our "irrefutable" evidence gets into the public domain. It would be a disgrace if UEFA are allowed to block publication of the judgement. I agree with your point about Ceferin though. He is a clever operator and knows this boil has to be lanced.

I love the Sheikh gets bored bit and oil running out. Do you think Sheikh Mansour would leave his personal fortune and the country that he resides in exposed to the oil running out? This guy propped up Barclays Bank over a decade ago and made a killing out of it. He owns the Chrysler building in New York, he has investments in Ferrari. The guys got his own F1 circuit.

You look at the UAE and how it’s grown over the last 40 years where they are now pursuing a knowledge based economy. I don’t think they are worrying about oil suddenly vanishing.

If hypothetically he decided to sell up one day there would be now shortage of people wanting a piece of it. The Chinese would probably look at growing their share as they have a market to sell the club too. There are no certainties in football but if Mansour packed up we suddenly wouldn’t find ourselves in division 2.

There's a bit of confusion here pal. Can you clarify that the diatribe that Shaelumstash ripped to shreds was not the words of a poster on here because there's a blue getting grief merely for bumping your OP.
