Cashless society

Doesn't bother me tbh.
Why would any fucker want to follow my every move ffs.
They'd soon get bored :)

I've not carried cash for years. No idea why people do. If a shop only deals in cash I'll go to a different one.
I get my cc statement every month, I can see every cent I've spent and where.

It also tells me how many airmiles I've earned.
I pay off the balance before any interest is added.

Why would I ever go back to cash ? Id probably lose it somewhere:)
It clearly does bother you and to be honest you come across quite bitter and jealous of the tradies and their big cars etc

For some cash works
For others no cash works

Cant we have a mix without being made to feel im money laundering every time a customer pays me cash?

Plus, even if you are goody two shoes, when they, the government, tax etc get it wrong you are fucked.
Debra Adeji was declared bankrupt in 2020 by the Inland Revenue. They were wrong. It took 3 years and a court hearing to sort the matter out. HMRC lied to the judge, (he stated the witness was being disingenuous)
She was simply an employee of a company but they decided they were right and she hadn't paid tax.
If you are bankrupt you will struggle for a mortgage, bank account and even a job.

But yeh, let them have access to everything. Let the banks and the government run our lives.
5 years ago i was issued with a £7k tax bill that i knew was wrong. They hounded me, asked me to provide my outgoings and worked a figure they wanted each month to clear the ‘debt’ that would leave me with £0 a month to spend after bills. Yes , zero pounds. Thats how they wanted me to live for 5 years

Luckily my accountant is shit hot. Whilst it was quite literally causing me massive mental health issues she cracked on and sorted for me. Guess what, they owed me £250. Took them 2 years to pay me too.

I wouldnt and dont trust ‘them’ as far as i can throw them and i wont on any level.

So yeah, if people are happy for ‘them’ to follow there every move without thinking theres an ulterior motive, ultimately , good luck

I work in the service industry, 80% domestic homes

Id say 75% is BACS and 25% cash

I wont have a card machine as they are too costly
Trouble is, cash is a dirty word and its always the presumption no tax is paid on it. But most of mine is used paying other supplier's etc and i guess it just goes round and round.
My card reader paypal izettle) costs me 78p for every tenner spent and no monthly costs. Direct into bank
