Can't be that bad just spend itI've had $20 for about 3 years, I don't bother carrying it around anymore.
This is the thing isn't it, for her it makes sense for others it doesn't. Just let business owners do what the fuck works best for them.Spoke to the owner of a hotel/bar recently. I asked her why she had gone "cashless"..
She said
No tilling up at end of night
No chance of getting robbed
No thieving by staff
And a lot more people can get served quicker without the need for fumbling round in the till for change.
Made sense to me.
As I robber there is absolutely no point in trying to get a quick few hundred quid from a bar that hasn't got any cash on site. Even cash bars don't cash up every 30 minutes and put it in a safe. Well the pub my daughter work in doesn't anyway. Even she says it's a pain in the arse cashing up at the end of the night. This is the thing isn't it, for her it makes sense for others it doesn't. There's still a need to till up at the end of the shift even without cash. You can still be robbed as a business like that. Once the cash is in a secure safe it's unlikely to be robbed anyway. Employing good staff on good wages tends to deter the thieves or a quiet word in their ear about the consequences.. The people might get served quicker until the one or two card card machines that serve the whole bar go down for one reason or other or tap function isn't working and people put in their number then wait for receipt to print. In short there's no difference in my experience from using card or cash.
It'll happen eventually but the fucking bores who bang on about it all the time are just going to have to wait a bit longer.
As a robber?? Haha! Do you do requests? I might have a bit of graft for you soon..As I robber there is absolutely no point in trying to get a quick few hundred quid from a bar that hasn't got any cash on site. Me personally i couldn't give a toss wether we go cashless society.
I admit I very rarely carry cash, but each to their own I suppose..
More and more cash machines are starting to charge to get your OWN money out anyway. Fuck that!
Note machine is the latest ATM provider to administer a charge!
Yeah, each to his own, there's little harm in @Blue Mist paying a tenner in cash for everything he is forced into buying. (not beer of course) :)As I robber there is absolutely no point in trying to get a quick few hundred quid from a bar that hasn't got any cash on site. Cash payments rise for first time in 10 years
Payments made with notes and coins rose as the cost of living started to bite, but debit card use was higher.www.bbc.co.uk
This is my biggest weakness too. Paying on card is fine in principle but it makes it easier for me to spend more. And if I'm out on the lash and pissed up, there's always the danger that I go mental and end up getting a stupidly expensive round in as I can just whip my card out and pay for it. With cash, I have a better feel of where I'm at.We've been using cash for years. More control, spend less. We also use the multiple sub accounts on the barclays app to filter money into savings for car repairs and servicing, mot etc.
For us it takes a lot of effort and without doing that we used to spend way too much when we just used the card. I mean hundreds of pounds each month, then we'd hit the Mastercard when the current account was empty. But that's the way the system wants it, they want us to have less control imo. So I am not playing their game.
That is an urban myth, there never was any money in it.I suppose now misty has revealed there's money and not just dead spiders /ration coupons in his wallet anythings possible
I reckon you are about right with that. I'm sure the government would like it sooner though. It will be eventually cashless in this country maybe in 20 years
Found a tenner in a pair of old shorts this morningOne if life’s little delights and victories is pulling out what you think is a receipt from your pocket and discovering it’s a tenner
Soon be lost to mankind
