At one time, almost everyone who attended a City match paid cash at the gate.
Tell kids that now, they won't believe you.

Only a small handful of tills in my local Asda now take cash and the queue for them is horrendous. Why not just ask to split the bill over cash and card or use a self-service till that takes both and put your notes in first?
PmslWhen they wrongly took £800 pound off me in 1998 they made an enemy.
When no one would help, employer or union I decided I had to get it back myself.
In 2006 I became self employed. I'm now ahead.
The only reason I'm ahead though, is just in case it happens again :-)

As well as never using cash, I also can’t remember the last time I used a debit/credit card. My debit card is in the bottom of a drawer next to me bed, not had it out for ages.I’m happy getting cash out whenever I need to. It’s just having it burning a hole in my pocket after because I put my rail fare, Asda and everything else on my debit card.
There is still a need for cash. Just because your world says there isn’t doesn’t make it so.As well as never using cash, I also can’t remember the last time I used a debit/credit card. My debit card is in the bottom of a drawer next to me bed, not had it out for ages.
I pay for everything on my phone. It’s safer as well since Apple Pay encrypts our bank details.
You can even withdraw cash without a debit card these days. No need for them, just another unneeded piece of plastic the world doesn’t need, as well as being no need for cash.
