big if, but if city let cavani go to arsenal we are make a big mistake

If Arsenal lose this weekend they are in very real danger of not making the champs league, they got lucky that the kompany sending off masked their abysmal performance, 10 men or not they looked poor and they looked poor against southampton and now with another big game coming up they are saying we are looking at bringing inexpensive signings but maybe not till the near the end of the window in another desperate attempt to hide the inadequacies of the team.

And when those signings dont come off it will be that they didnt have enough time to pull off the deal, there were last minute complications and once again the vast majority of arsenal fans will swallow it up, just like spurs fans used to when harry said they got blown out of the water, this must be the only hard part of a journos job having to listen to the same managers spout the same crap year upon year and having to report it as something new.

If Cavani ends up at Arsenal and Falcao joins any of Real, Chelsea or PSG and we're still stuck with Dzeko and/or Balotelli come September then the club will only have themselves to blame.

And yes I know how petty that sounds.

BREAKING NEWS: Italian sports justice removed two-points deduction from Napoli previously given for match-fixing.New table:Juve 45,Napoli 42

Huge title race boost for Napoli.

Cavani will stay with Napoli for much longer in my opinion.

Dzekos goals who we are stuck with have gained us 12 extra points this year in fact without his goals wed be 6th, we are also stuck with aguero and tevez. I know you were probably making the point tongue in cheek but our strikers while not as prolific last year arent exactly bad.

Arsenal are clutching at straws, no club will sign Cavani this season. If that was to happen, then I will walk naked in the fast lane of the M60.

Haha, exactly.

People complaining our 3rd and 4th string strikers aren't world class..... Give me a break

Dzeko seems to be finding his feet. If Aguero and Tevez can join him than we offload Balo in summer and Guidettu becomes 4th pick. Consistency has been the problem for strikers this season. If they can rectify that finally, we should invest in other areas.

@tancredipalmeri: There are also other couple of considerations about contacts already made between three clubs and Napoli re Cavani..but that for another day

Naples, De Laurentiis: "Stop buying. Cavani hope remains for a long time "
January 17th, 2013 @ 09:53 pm> Gianluca Di Marzio

After the acquittal of Cannavaro and Grava, and the two points returned, Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli president, also speaks of the market: "We will not take any more. I do not like to buy players in January. We focus on young people, to take and to develop among club. Cavani? I hope remains long. I have already offered 55 million euro, and I said no. I need him, not the money. "

Nothing will come of it. A PR exercise similar to the one Roma pulled with De Rossi last January. I can guarantee it.

Would LOVE to be able to post this as its own topic (Ric!!), but I can't; here is the City January Rumour XI, the catch being we had to be linked to them, rather than the hopes and wishes of this forum:

Manager: Pep Guardiola

I know Shawcross isn't a RB, but I don't remember us being linked to one at all...

And of course, this leaves out:

Llorente
Aubameyang
Wanyama
Sneijder
Walcott
Jovetic, and
Isco

Just to name a few...
