I don't believe all this we are not in for Cavani stuff.

It's quite evident we need to freshen up our strike force and if the opportunity to sign Cavani came up you take it, we were in for Falcao by all accounts so I definately see us in for a top striker.

Cavani is an upgrade on Dzeko in my opinion and if an offer was put down of 40m + Dzeko then for sure that would be a deal done if you ask me.

You value Cavani at 64m?
Nah 42m

You're wrong about positioning re FFP.
Explain why???.....and I hope that I am wrong about this.

Chelsea broke even for the first time last season whereas it will most probably take City a couple of years to achieve that....I think we had a loss of around 98 million.
Chelsea broke even on the back of winning the CL, but we have zero fears about FFP. We will be able to bid whatever we deem a player is worth. FFP will not constrain us in this window.

A transfer fee can be spread over the length of a contract it's wages that kill us and a lot has Come off our books recently allowing room for others.

This will be our last big splurge in terms of numbers for a few years though.

All depends on Real Madrid, I think. If it's Suarez they want, we have a huge chance of getting Cavani (at least 50/50 between us and Chelsea). If it's Cavani they want, it will be difficult because they have plenty of dosh and if Napoli accept player swaps, Real have a brilliant squad. Plus Cavani has the usual Iberian and South American fixation with Real Madrid and/or Barcelona like Ronaldo and so many others. I think it all depends on Real's transfer strategy after Ancelotti is in place.

LC I think you are missing one other realistic possibility, which is for EC to stay at Napoli

I guess, but I can't see this happening. His own mother said he wanted to leave the club (<a class="postlink" href="http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1417394/mother-cavani-wants-leave-napoli?cc=5739" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/14173 ... li?cc=5739</a> - "He told me he wants to go elsewhere and to leave Napoli, but also that one day he'd love to return to Napoli"). Only his respect for the club probably prevents him from handing in a transfer request. He is 26 and if he stays bound to this contract, will be 30 by the time it ends. And no disrespect to Napoli but I think there is a limit to how far they can go, unlike Real Madrid, City or Chelsea.

I honestly think we can forget Cavani. He wants to play for Madrid and also Chelsea will pay a fortune for him if Madrid falls through.

If we get Isco for say 30 million (hopefully he will choose City over Madrid) I think the FFP rubbish will stop us from then getting in to a bidding war for Cavani because someone is gonna have to pay approx. 60 million to get him. Unfortunately, at this time, both Madrid and Chelsea are better positioned than us FFP wise.

We shall see.....I just hope we can get at least one of them.
No offence but you don't know any of this. All you know is what crap you've read from the media which is a different piece of crap every day.
Nobody knows anything obviously.....but people are giving their opinions and thoughts.....no offence.

Zidane has made it pretty clear Bale is their number one and Higuain looks set to go so they have to replace him, no way they will fork out 60m euros on top of Bale for Cavani.

Suarez will replace Higuain in my opinion, for around 40m euros I can't see them not doing a deal and the way Suarez is speaking about Real it looks like Madrid are doing their very typical way of tapping a player up and asking him to force his way out his current club.

Madrid will spend big this Summer, they have just seen Neymar significatly add to Barcelona's attack so I can see them going all out for two of the Premierships best in Bale and Suarez.

It will be down to us and Chelsea I feel in the end and I do think we can do a deal with a player they want in Dzeko, Chelsea have to pay full wack which may put them off.

I have lost count the amount of times ADL has said 63m euros or nothing. They have turned down supposedly £40m plus Rafa's golden boy Torres, they want 63m euros. They will not accept 40-45m euros and Dzeko. They want 63m euros. forget the swap deal shit

But you just said,he wants to play for Madrid and also chelsea would be willing to pay a fortune.Doesn't look like an opinion the way its written.

Go home SSN you are drunk

The player's father revealed earlier this week that he had set his heart on a switch to the Etihad Stadium, but Mancini reckons he should also consider City.
