Corriere dello sport reckon city have offered 40 mill plus dzeko and overtaken Chelsea in the race to sign cavani.

This should be our final offer then move on! Cavani would be a beast for us but that offer is the biggest we should go. I would personally swap edin for lewandowski and even maybe try Carlos in a deal for thiago at barca! Little or no money spent and wages saved!

If that's the case I think ADL will accept because that's a great deal.

I don't see Madrid coming in for him, Bale is their number one target, Zidane has said so, and to replace Higuain it will be Suarez in my opinion.

Suarez is available at around €40, and I just think he his being too vocal regarding a move to Real! Makes you think they have tapped him up and asked him to force his way out in the typical Real Madrid transfer fashion.

If they don't want dzeko, the other offer apparently is 55 million cash.

Dzeko is their number one man to replace Cavani apparently, at least on the list.

De laurentiis has said as much and there are too many Italian reports sayin Edin and Mario Gomez are the top 2 replacements Napoli want to not have a belief they want him.

I'd like to know if we are playing one or two up top. If it is one than I don't see the point of Cavani as both he and Aguero will want to start every game. Even if it is two up top, we would need another striker to be cover on the bench (unless management deems Guidetti enough).[/quote

At what point is one player going to start 60 games in a season

Suarez: I would give my soul in every match for Real Madrid

The Liverpool striker has once again commented on his future in the media, and says he is "disturbed" by the Anfield outfit's absence from the Champions League

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has once again heaped praise on Spanish giants Real Madrid as speculation continues to surround his future on Merseyside.

The Uruguay international, currently in Brazil for the Confederations Cup, had previously claimed he would relish the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo for los Blancos.

28/1 Liverpool are 28/1 with bet365 to win the Premier League next season

And now the 26-year-old has begun discussing the qualities he feels he could offer Madrid, saying he would give his all for the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

“I will give my soul every time I step on the pitch,” Suarez revealed when asked by El Pais what he would bring to a team like Madrid.

“I have done this with Uruguay, Ajax and Liverpool. I do not hold anything when I finish a game.”

Suarez also reiterated his belief that joining Madrid would be the pinnacle of any player's career, and admits he is disappointed that Liverpool will not be playing in Europe next season.

“A player always aspires to be at the top of their profession and Madrid is at the top for any football player,” he continued. “But, do you know what it is like to play for Liverpool?”

“It disturbs me that Liverpool are not in the Champions League every season.

“I’ve suffered at Liverpool, but when I think of what it represents to play for this club, and the love my daughter has - she sings the hymn - the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I play at Anfield.”
See guys? This is a player telling a club to come and get him with the intention of driving down the transfer fee. ;)

This doesn't sound too clever....

The striker's father, Luis Cavani, however, said that his son has told the family that he wants to move to Madrid.
"Cavani's intention is to play for Madrid,'' he told Futboleros. "He is excited about it and is very willing to see it through.
"He has told the family in private that he wants to join Real Madrid but if he declares it publicly it will annoy Napoli.''
Cavani Snr also revealed that representatives from the Liga club have already held talks with the Uruguay international.
"There has been contact with Real Madrid's lawyers and now we are waiting for the two clubs to meet,'' he said. "I hope it happens and that talks take place as soon as possible. Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid?"
He did, however, concede that Napoli's reported €65 million valuation of his son could prove to be a stumbling block during negotiations with Madrid.
"It's not just up to Edi,'' he said. "They are talking about 65 million euros and Napoli won't negotiate for any less.''
