Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

Well, no one is paying the release clause are they? So there's no point in going on about it. If we get Cavani it will be because Napoli budged or accepted Dzeko... otherwise we won't sign him. Same goes for Chelsea and Real Madrid, the other top clubs after this top striker... neither has shown the willingness to go the full release clause yet, and if Cavani is adamant on leaving as his mother said then eventually the price may come down somewhat or the elusive transfer request could happen.

Three articles from today:

According to this journalist Napoli would "like" to accept the Dzeko + £34m offer City are rumoured to have made, but the obstacle could be convincing Dzeko to go to Italy: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/?action=read&idnet=dHV0dG9uYXBvbGkubmV0LTE1Mjk4MA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/? ... LTE1Mjk4MA</a>

According to this article "the whole family" has intervened, begging ADL to lower the release clause because he is pricing Cavani out of the move he wants: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/?action=read&idnet=dHV0dG9uYXBvbGkubmV0LTE1Mjk3Mw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/? ... LTE1Mjk3Mw</a>

According to this one ADL may budge and lower the price but won't chop 20million euros off the price: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/?action=read&idnet=dHV0dG9uYXBvbGkubmV0LTE1Mjk3MA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/napoli/? ... 'The move he wants'

Does he state a preference then?

Real Madrid is his preference we're led to believe by his father's comment, but Real Madrid were also said to be Aguero's preference and if Real don't make a decent bid or go for Suarez (quite possible) then it leaves us and Chelsea and at least a 50/50 chance of getting him.

€63m then... still WAY too much.

Get Dzeko performing like he did in Germany where the manager knew how to use him and we don't need Cavani.
This, 63 mil is a pisstake.

My feelings too. Dzeko is a top notch player. He is just as good as Cavani. On last season no, but one indifferent season does not a shite player make.

A new manager who will play expansive footie will suit him down to the ground and save us millions.

Why spend for the sake of it?

No he isn't, Cavani is on a different level to Dzeko. Think some people forget how bad Dzeko's overall play was at times last season.

Dries Mertens agent has done an interview with a Belgium newspaper..And is quoted as saying"For him,the Napoli will be a great experience"......a cavani deal should pick up pace now, wherever he is going.

Believe me Cavani in that same set up would be just as shit. Neither are tippy tappy backs to the goal type strikers. Look at how Cavani was yesterday was with shit service, Dzeko's been dealing with that for a very long time.
