Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

As soon as Real / Barca get involved , forget it.

I think the fit between Cavani and City was perfect but if that what the guy wishes to do , fair enough.

Real got Kaka at the wrong time , Alexis made a error thinking he could shine at Barca and Jose made a big mistake turning City down 3 years ago.

We have been in several long , drawn out pursuits now and I believe we have missed every single one:-

Ronaldinho
Kaka
Eto
Terry
Mourinho
Alexis
Hazard

and now it looks like Cavani.

No panic buys , keep Carlos for 1 more year to bide us some time .
If Real get him , good luck to them. If they don't let's buy him.

The most important thing we can do now is not let ISCO join the above list.

This has all come from an article in the Marca newspaper. Maybe it is just me, but it does sound like RM haven't really made an approach for the player. It feels like RM are just keeping it on the back burner as back up option if they don't get their main target.

Cavani's father: "My son wants to play for Real Madrid"
JOSÉ LUIS CALDERÓN 14/06/13 - 7:17.

Edinson Cavani bursting onto the market of Real Madrid. Napoli Uruguayan striker has long been linked to all white, but his father was put in charge of revealing in the front row of his son's desire to play in the white set.

Luis Cavani acknowledged yesterday in a statement to TV BRAND Futboleros that of all the offers that manages to leave Italy, which attracts him most is that of Real Madrid. "Cavani's intention is to play in a team like Real Madrid. He wants and all the bias. Our son, in the family in private, he says he wants to play at Real Madrid, but if it can be made public for Napoli badly, "said Luis Cavani.

"You win, but the operation does not depend only on him"
The father of the white target to reinforce the front even acknowledged that there have already been talks: "There have been contacts with lawyers of Real Madrid and has been waiting for the connection between the clubs."

What it does have clear Luis Cavani is that the transfer operation will be complicated by the high number asking Naples, despite the willingness of the player: "I hope he does and encourage people to dialogue and resolve things as soon possible. Who would not want to play in Madrid? But not only depends on Edi. There is talk of 65 million euros and Napoli will not negotiate for less. But the desire of the player is another. "

"There was contact and waiting for the connection between the clubs"
Even the decision of the player to bet on Real Madrid in the case of choosing seems to be supported by his family: "I told Edi I wanted to go to Spain to make a roast with you, referring to fellow BRAND TV-and he said, 'Well, man, all right. "

The confession of the father of Cavani merely confirms that, in the absence of close the signing of Ancelotti, Madrid have been groping all that has to strengthen the attack, once Higuain output appears safe. Cavani, Luis Suarez and Lewandowski are the trio of nines with supply options to El Pipita.

He might very well be holding out for Madrid to offload Ronaldo first, to give them the money to finance his move from Napoli.

Its like a game of chess ... just waiting for someone to make the first move, its just who and when?

Edinson has set his heart on Real Madrid says his Father so who do we go for instead?

If we really believe we need a striker & we really believe we need a creative midfield player, then the key is to have two backups who are as close to the standard of our main targets as possible.

If we are competing with the top clubs for players, we can easily lose out, just as they have lost out to us with players like Silva & Aguero.

Aguero was a prime example of the backup player being better than the main target (Sanchez).

Now Mancini is gone, it should be easier for the suits to change targets if things look like going pear shaped.

Mum says City
Dad says Madrid.

I still truly believe he will end up at city and Suarez and Bale will be Madrid bound.

will just chuck cavani's comment on top of that as well “I don’t know if Spanish football suits me”

doesn't sound like a player that is overly excited about going to Real Madrid.

Its not difficult to see the what the acts in the play are

Madrid are waiting to see whats going to happen with Bale and Ronaldo

before sorting anything with Higuain and Cavani.

Real have basically put a "Save the date" card into Bale, Cavani, Lewendowski and Isco, and they are just playing the game.

Unfortunately, any of the above players are going to wait and see what comes of it before commiting to another club, we at the moment have to wait in line.

If what he says he wants is true do we seriously need another big-name who really wants to be somewhere else and is only here for the money. Of course money is important these days but we at least need players who want to be here as well not someone who reluctantly comes as some sort of 3rd choice who is then in the press as "discontented" every 5 minutes.

In all honesty Manchester doesn't offer a great deal in comparison to Madrid, Barcelona, Milan etc (or even London, except for the weather is about the same). We need to accept that and take it into account when buying players. I have often wondered if this is what really lies behind United's signings as they have traditionally tended to buy more players who are already in the PL or British and in lower leagues. It's the same thinking that has gone into Moyes appointment and it's difficult to argue with their past success. (Moyes may be a bridge too far in my opinion!)

Manchester is not everyone's first choice of a place to spend their lives and we really need to take that into account when buying
