I think we will sign him subject to the sale of either Agüero or Touré.

Would be superb. The thing with Fàbregas is he is capable of scoring 15 goals a season so we could play him right behind anyone of ours. If Agüero left we could still have loads off strength.
So what we have negredo, dzeko and jovetic all on the bench?

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Another thing Yaya does also is pull off some amazing passes and early crosses that nobody else does in our team over the top (e.g. Palace away assist to Dzeko).

He has at least one every game like that. Not all ends in a goal of course but he has a very good eye for those long balls.Maybe he gave the ball to Negredo too vs Fulham when he earned a pen from it.

If Yaya does want to leave though then we are going to have to consider.

Swapping Yaya with Fabregas will be viewed by many as arguably one of the worst transfer dealings in modern times but if Yaya wants out we are going to have to take the hit.

Less than ideal but I wouldn't mind it. Cesc is 4 years younger. Mind you, I'd prefer both.

I don't think that Barca wants Toure in that deal anyway. The question is that if you want Fabregas, would you be willing to do a swap deal for Agurero plus cash considering the HG quota too?

Hell no. For me, Serg, Vince and Merlin are cornerstones. Toure was in the same category this time last month but I have little tolerance for folks being paid 10+ mill a year bitching in public about nothing in particular. I rate many others but with proper offers, they are replaceable.

That Carling Cup final early cross, in particular, was delightful.

I take it we wouldn't be able to sign Fabregas without selling first?

If we do get Fernando and Benatia/Mangala we'd need to sell to get Cesc.

We'd have to have sold Yaya to go for Cesc. By then we can consider a straight trade. Just pray it's not too late (as in Cesc goes before Yaya decides to leave).

Though I think Cesc is destined to rejoin Arsenal.

Never go back, cesc has learnt this lesson at barca where it's not worked out.
He'd b a fool to go back to arsenal, txiki said he'd have cesc in a heartbeat!!

When something presents itself that is special you have to go for it, whether our budget allows us to go for cesc, we may find out.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

I'd rather neglect getting a centre back in for a year and use the money on fabregas.
