Gooners aren't interested, we've got a free run
that inside info danamy or media reporting it??

A bit of both really

I was told by someone who has contacts at Arsenal that Cesc looks City bound and with Tolmie saying over the weekend there had been developments, it seems to all be coming together, that's what i meant by momentum, add to that what the media are saying, it's looking positive at the moment and i wouldn't be surprised to hear something soon.

On another note i'm not surprised with the Kolarov rumours coming out, i know we've been putting the feelers out for a left back for a while.
If Fab is in London then seems very likely that he's signing for someone before joining up with Spain. They must be travelling to Central America soon....they have a friendly at the weekend and Fabregas must be involved. I think a deal will be announced in the next 72 hours, but not convinced it will be with City.

Where would we play Fabregas? IMO his best position is central midfield, but Yaya, Fernandinho, Fernando and Fabregas (and Garcia... he'd have to go, but his agent said the player is 100% staying) would be ridiculous depth and hard to manage for Pellegrini if we continue to play a '2' (we could play a '3', yet then comes the problem of having 4 strikers for 1 position as we'd have to sacrifice one from the starting 11).

We could play Fabregas further forward, but where? He can't play on the flanks and even Silva, who is amazing behind a striker, is often drifting in from the right. So he could replace Milner as a homegrown player but not like-for-like in terms of where he plays. He plays up front a lot for Barcelona, no chance of that here with our wealth of strikers.

I'm just finding it hard to see unless Yaya does leave and there's still no concrete evidence that will happen.

If we get Fab then I'd expect us to go to 4-3-3, assuming we keep Yaya then we'd have 4 players for the midfield 3 - Yaya, Fernando, Fernandinho and Fabregas. (Garcia can go)

I'd then expect us to entertain a bid for one of the forwards, considering Dzeko still needs to sign a contract or Beast back to Spain or Jovetic back to Italy.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

sky sports twitter feed reporting "sky sources" Fabregas has agreed personal terms with Le Arse

Might be shite might not be shite time will tell i guess

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Not doubting Tolm, but this could end up with either or situation especially if Kolorov doesn't play ball and Garcia and Rodwell ain't leaving. Do we prioritise our spending on Fabregas who would make our midfield world class or buy a centre back who we all know is desperately needed.

Sod defence go for the midfield it is where most games are won or lost. :-)

It's a squad game. Bayern and Real Madrid have a crazy amount of top quality players that you can't squeeze into 11.

That'll be Sky going with the obvious, and desperate for him not to come to us.

You still think we're not in for Shaw and that that one's wrapped up to United mate ?

I haven't heard anything different on the Shaw front i'm afraid, I wish we were in for him to be honest, I've tipped him to play for England since he was 16 and would love him at City

I have a feeling Negredo will go back to Spain & replace Costa at Atletico. Think we will play more of a 4-2-3-1 next season, with the 3 being Silva, Fabregas & Nasri in the big games behind Aguero or Dzeko
