I'm doubtful Fabregas could improve the first team, the squad yes, undoubtedly. However, I think any impact he would have would be minimal and in no way worth the transfer fee or the wages.

Agree with stony here, he is not needed really and would have been a buy we need not have made.
Not bitter, i never wanted him here as we are ok in midfield providing fernando signs.
A great player but not what we need atm.
Utd however need midfielders more than i need air though so him going to chelsea is ideal for schadenfreude reasons.

Will be interested to see how he does in a jose team.
Seems a bit strange as he is a "freedom" player and jose doesn't really go for such players.

Cesc pretty much played as a second striker last season, he'll probably play there for Chelsea.

I don't think we need him, but there's no denying his quality. Unless you're a rag and hurting.
He's not that good. He's not a CM. Speaks volumes that only Chelsea wanted him when we are crying out for a midfielder.

Barcelona are destroying themselves.
Good pick up for Chelsea. Will definitely improve them. Though he is a half season player like Nasri, so we'll see if Mourinho can get him playing at a more consistent level.

Its against the smaller teams that a player of his type will make the real difference to Chelsea. Games like WBA home & away where they managed just 2 points. Or Sunderland & West Ham at home
