Bit surprised about the decision, Dzeko has had a pretty grim season to date, out for a bit and when he has been fit and playing has not looked anywhere near the player he was from last season. Jovetic has played a lot more this season and has scored a few goals for us but he doesn't seem to be one of MP's chosen few and his fate seems sealed.
He has a lot of talent but looks like he is trying too hard at times, trying the silly fancy flicks et al when a simple pass would often suffice.
Neither Jovetic nor Dzeko have any real pace about them, a pretty crucial factor at the top level these days.

Don't care about that tbh but I would've left willy out and kept Jovetic in the squad.

If logistically it was not possible because he wasn't part of the original squad and they have to be picked for the rnd 16 onwards blah blah notwithstanding we have added Bony to that list fair enough but I think not.
Much better selection in my opinion event though we already no who won't get any game time or get limited game time barring injuries / suspensions aside against Barca already.
Given no yaya in the first leg anyway why not have Jovetic in the squad?
What a way for Richard to finish his career if Joe had to limp off.

Some sad cases on here today. So far;
1. Only two games left in the CL anyway - jump off the nearest bridge brigade.
2. Dzeko won't be happy Jovetic left out.
3. Kolarov wont be happy Jovetic left out.
4. Dzeko and Kolarov will play cr@p on purpose - What! They survived the cut, Dzeko should be strong 2nd half of season now injuries are behind him, and Kolarov is FEARED in Europe because of his crosses and free kicks (and has scored 1 goal every season in CL for us so stick a £5 on him for a goal vs Barca)

Messi plays central. Neymar and ronaldo play on the wings while suarez has performed nowhere near his capabilities out wide. Aguero should play nowhere other than on the defenders shoulders.

Whoever was excluded it would have been harsh on the player. But l expect Jovetic to behave like a true professional who gets well paid and have been during his injuries. And l expect the other squadmembers to behave as a team and help Jovetic to get through this downer. We as fans should support him whenever possible.
And Pellegrini is taking a BIG risk going for Bony. New player. No-one knows how he will jell in the squad and with Aguero. No Ch.League experience as well. Bony getting to us was imho already a big step up for him and he could have done without Ch.League footie in the 3 months remaining. Very little time for Bony to show his worth.
Now lets await the media. And all this because of this f&cking UEFA and their f&cking fair play shit. I hope City or Jovetic can sue them if they wrongly introduced these rules.

To add ... No comments from the club. No holistic explanation to support the player. And a missed opportunity to shut the media up with whatever stories she comes up with. Like many on here do as well btw...
