He'll also be 5 months short of turning 29 by the time season 2019/2020 kicks off. I have always maintained that if Hazards move to Madrid doesn't happen this summer, it won't happen period. I'm fairly confident he'll sign a new contract.
We'll see. Sticking Isco there (You quoted the article) seems like a patience ploy.

Yes, if he signs a new contract he'll never leave Chelsea in his prime

What does the player want? For me any player who says something like "if Real speaks then you have to listen", is inviting an offer. We've seen this before and usually the player gets his wish.

Chelsea will never get 200 mil for him. He's not that good. So is the club already in the 'let's see how much we can get mode"?

I think Chelsea would have happily let him go for 100-130m, and Chelsea and Madrid were definitely talking about the possibility of Hazard moving to Madrid, but I have never been that convinced that Madrid really want him

I think they're angling for Mbappe or Neymar next summer tbh. Hazard always felt like their 3rd choice and they were never paying 200m for their 3rd choice.

Dunno mate, I wouldn't write off him moving just yet and he definitely won't sign a contract in this season when his leverage would be so much better next.

Hazard as Captain?

I'm hard pressed to think of a more self-centred player at Chelsea.

Oh well not our problem.

Spot-on. He's like Neymar. I really think Belgium could have won the World Cup if he had been less selfish. He's an excellent player but has not really improved into a truly great one.

Huson-Odoi should be in the starting line up he looks class in pre season.

Question under Sarri is what goes first, Chelsea’s legs or Abramovich’s patience? Sarri inherited good players at Napoli who were capapble of playing his preferred style, whereas he has inherited players at Chelsea who are now, arguably, too long in the tooth and unwilling to graft from the front; will key players want to stay while he rebuilds?

I think Roman may have lost his lucky painting.

He's got a few players to come back
