Blame Liverpool for the inflated fees of goalies but we won’t hear/read nowt about it! It’ll be our fault as pre usual.

I’ve never understood why keepers don’t sell for 50+ million previously - it’s the single most important position

It will still take him a while to get fully adjusted. He will not get that amount of time under Abramovich
I reckon Sarri will be the next Luiz Felipe Scolari. Gone by December.
Abramovich never gives a manager any time. Even when they are hamstrung by Abramovich taking his time to sack the previous incumbent.

If he doesn't give Sarri time then he really is dumb. It's plain for everyone to see that it will take time for Sarri to implement the way he wants to play. You can't go from being a total counter attacking side to suddenly play total football overnight especially with the players they had that played 3 at the back with wingbacks to a 4-3-3. You just had to look with what Pep had to endure his first season to see you need time and different players. I guess we'll see how patient he is.

Perhaps we should wish for Sarri to become a success with Chelsea, so he can take over from Pep when the day comes.

That's daft. If you want to make wishes, how about Pep see's out his career with us. Or that Vinny shows that he can use his undoubted intelligence and become our long term manager. Wishing for success for other managers hoping that they may one day come to us? Daft

Fabregas & Pedro both played it for years.

They did, but Fabregas now plays like he's got 100kg of concrete attached to each leg. He clearly isn't the player he was in 2011. Could be a good impact sub. Pedro is 31 and not as mobile as he used to be.

I thought Fabregas would be right up for this & a serious player for Sarri. He just appears to be a half arsed twat though & you would probably be better off getting rid.

Never even heard of that keeper they're trying to sign for 71m Jesus.

I won't pretend to know him either.

I have asked La Liga fans and they say he's pretty good. He's meant to be good with his feet, which is essential in a Sarri team, and ironically Courtois' weak spot.

Real Madrid wanted him last January, but the deal became complicated and the window closed before the deal could be concluded. He then signed a new contract with this humongous release clause.
