What are those rules?

The new rules on defining sponsorship between companies that are "associated" as those that require investigation?

I am not sure if you are aware of them, but I am genuinely not sure if a sponsorship between a PIF company and Chelsea, for example, would be "associated" in the way that the PL, I think, wants a sponsorship between a Mubadala company and City to be "associated" so they can be reviewed.

The reason I ask is that it's a small step from sponsorship to transfers.

Welcome to our world.

Oh right, gotcha.

It's a hard question to answer because PIF is sovereign fund and they have their money invested in literally hundreds of thousands of different companies, investment funds etc. Clearlake manage one of those investments and that is the extent of that connection. I don't know if that tenuous link is enough to consider PIF associated.

If Eldridge Industries, the company Boehly owns, was to sponsor Chelsea for example, that would be a more clear (and quite frankly egregious) example of associated.

Given that there are quite a few groups that own multiple clubs, I assume there are rules about transfers between those clubs already, but presumably like the 'related party' rules, they're vague and flexible enough to be selectively applied. So Bayern won't be investigated for their years of outsized sponsorship deals from three of their major shareholders, while we get investigated because our chairman's third cousin once walked past the cat belonging to the CEO of Etihad's mother.

Think about everything that's been said about us over the years and how much of that is true and well-informed. Now apply that to Chelsea's current situation and imagine how much of that is probably true.
Oh I'm well aware of how the press of this nation can poison truth. I hate them with quite some passion.

This post is a breath of fresh air to me. Thank you.

You can’t trust those Arabs, always up to something sneaky like having the best team ever.

Well chelsea got rid of 31 year old 300k a week four year left contract Koulibaly for 17m to Saudi fantastic deal for Chelsea getting that has been shit premier player and banking 17m

That’s now 2 players gone to Saudi!!!!!

Fucking joke premier league. Where is the investigation into this conduct?

Raising funds and releasing wages to dodge ffp. Bohley is up to his elbows in Saudi money.

I don’t care what any other teams does to get around the rules but all clubs need treated the same not just Manchester City ffs.

Wankers.
