That’s now 2 players gone to Saudi!!!!!

Fucking joke premier league. Where is the investigation into this conduct?

Raising funds and releasing wages to dodge ffp. Bohley is up to his elbows in Saudi money.

I don’t care what any other teams does to get around the rules but all clubs need treated the same not just Manchester City ffs.

Wankers.

Oh no. Club sells players to raise funds. Shocker. Not everything is an FFP dodge ffs. Koulibaly is sold at a loss too. And so far it’s only been 1 player, though it will be 3 fairly soon.

Hahaha what a load of shit.

Sell the players to a European team and not to Saudi for a money laundering operation.

I don’t care what chelsea do to avoid punishment but they need investigated and media harassed like city.

I await the premier leagues view on these shady dealings. It’s all corrupt, but not reported.

It’s an ffp dodge no doubt.

Saudis aren’t allowed to buy players then? Arsenal dodging FFP by selling Partey there? I’ll await your verdict when City sell Mahrez or Bernado there too.

They are literally hoovering up players from around Europe. Are they all dodging FFP?

Anyway you seem upset, so I’ll leave you to it.

:)

Everything is not not an FFP dodge either. I remember you trying to convince me that giving 7 and 8 year contracts wasn't an FFP dodge either, shortly before rules were put in place to stop the FFP dodging part ....

Chelsea have bought too many players on good wages, they were looking FFP-fucked quite frankly. Along comes Saudi to take some excess players away. It's not just the money received as you well know, it's the wages being freed up. I doubt anyone else in Europe would be paying those players those wages, so Chelsea have benefitted from Saudi's investment much more than City would if, say, Bernardo would go there. I am guessing Chelsea, at the end of the window, will have miraculously complied with FFP.

Forgive people for being suspicious, especially given the PIF links to Chelsea's owners. And especially after the shit we get for any alleged wrong-doing.

Those Pif links are very minor. Red herring.

Gary Neville likes this post, but he has very poor judgement.

If Chelsea are money laundering then they're not very good at it. Koulibaly has cost them £13million for what has been effectively a seasons loan and they've paid his wages/signing on fee/agents fees and everything else into the bargain.

If any of ours go to Saudi are we dodging FFP?

I've never understood this aggression to opposition fans on a football forum unless they've had a go first. I always thought that was more a rawk thing where no dissenting voice is allowed.

Edit: what are these PIF links BTW?

The argument I made about the long contracts was that FFP dodge sounds very sketchy and mischievous whereas I looked at the long contract as a fair way to remain compliant with the rules set by the governing bodies. It isn’t gaining an unfair advantage and it was only stopped because UEFA thinks it’s a harmful practice to the clubs doing it. So you can call it an FFP dodge but unless you don’t mean that in the negative way I took it to mean, then I still maintain you were wrong about that :)

About the Saudi thing. It’s really just one player we’re talking about here. Koulibaly. Mendy is on super low wages, like around £55ka week. Ziyech is on around £100k a week. These were not difficult players to shift to Europe at all. They are the ones who were presented with a chance to move to Saudi and they accepted. Up until Saudi approached them, Mendy was being heavily linked with a move back to France and Ziyech was being linked moves to Turkey and Italy and he was reportedly happy to take a paycut to leave.

Now that Arsenal and you lot are on the verge of giving us £100m for Havertz and Kovacic, I very much doubt we were in any serious FFP trouble for this year, wether we sold Koulibaly or not.

Yep sold him at a loss, Ziyech will be sold for around £8m after we signed him for £30m three years ago.

I understand people are a bit frustrated or annoyed when they all insisted Chelsea would have trouble trimming the squad and now seeing us trim the squad by nearly 10 players with ease by the end of June.
