Chelsea v City post match thread

In too many games this season Yaya just isn't there sloppy passes, moaning at teamates when he has fucked it up.
But fans notice one run and all is forgiven.

Why are people talking about the dodgy ref?

There was minimal contact with the Silva penalty shout.

Vinny was lucky to stay on the pitch so out of two very possible sendings off, one wasn't too harsh.

Minimal contact is enough... we see them given every game, had Bosingwa not stuck his leg out that high Silva could well just take a swing at it and there is a good chance it will end up in the net.

However, we really do need to take a reality check if we think we can rely on referees to make the correct decisions... we had a number of chances wasted in the first 20 mins, most noteably the one being Agueros where he took a shot at the near post instead of just putting it into the far corner.

Despite not being at our best and down to 10 men for over 30mins it still took a penalty for Chelsea to score (and the ball was going miles wide) and Joe had very little to do, can't remember a save of any importance..so not all doom and gloom, we still managed to maintain 50% possession and were clearly going to win more games than they lose. Just need to start the next run going.

Correct for the penalty and the sending off but inconsistent reffing will always happen every game its just something we have to put up with was poor judgement by the ref as he was so close to Silva and if he doesn't give it then he should book Silva. The space between our defence and Midfield was exploited allot by the speed of Ramieres and Sturridge. The passing from us at times was pathetic, like watching kids getting bored so they just hammer it up field and hope.

shameful thing about lescott being daft is that we had been playing with 10 men for 16-17 minutes and they weren't threatening at all

2 of our 3 losses this season 'influenced' by referees:

Clattenberg not giving a stonewall penalties today.

Kassai not giving two stonewall penalties against Bayern, who could have committed mass homicide that night and gotten away with it.

No such complaints about the loss to Napoli, we simply deserved to lose.

Clattenberg's penalty decision changed the face of the game, If we had of went 2-0 up there we would of running riot!

Am proud of the lads tonight Chelsea is tough enough as it is without playing 40 mins with 10 men! Which Joe Hart still didnt have a shot to save!

Don't know weather it's just me but I thought Meireles tackle on Zaba was horrible and warranted a straight red, Anybody else think so?

We have to take the bad with the good. Lescott is good enough so is clichy so is yaya and silva. Stop with the knee jerk shit, it was just a bad day at the office.
Well said bob

It's not really knee jerk though mate.

It's just that when we win, you can look at the shite bits and not get too bothered about it.

But realistically, when was the last time you found yourself saying how good Zabba was going forward? Or how good Lescott has been with his distribution? I could go on.

There are some glaring inadequacies in our side that are there week in, week out. We usually get away with it, so it usually doesn't matter. But these things are the difference between winning the league and not. Or being in the CL knock stages or not.
