City charged by the FA following the Villa match (22nd May 2022)

So we are punished for a pitch invasion, fair enough if them are the rules.

What punishment did utd get for their fans invading their pitch and getting their game vs Liverpool postponed? ?

That little incident seemed to have been swept under the carpet by the PL?
I know a bunch of people won't like this and will start bringing up entirely different things, but the United game is a totally different set of circumstances. Their ground was broken into, and criminal charges were brought. The club would say they were the victims. Controlling your fans isn't "fans" in the abstract, the club can't be prosecuted if I wear a City shirt and go and rob my neighbour. It's policing and stewarding them as paying customers in the ground itself, which the club does have some control over.

They had a match postponed as a direct result of failing to control their fans on the day of a match when they knew there was going to be a protest - surely that warranted some sort of investigation by the PL at the very least yet there was nothing.

I don't think it's the pitch invasion we're being fined for, to be honest. It's attacking the Villa keeper and damaging FA property (the goal posts). The broken goal posts created a fantastic image but I understand why the FA have to do this.

87,000 people watched the England Women become European Champions on their home turf with an extra time winner.

And somehow all magically remained in their seats. So... that's all bullshit.
Wembley has got a pretty good set-up to stop fans getting on the pitch, to be fair. Those horizontal steel fences/barriers that stretch out about six feet from the seats. You'd have to do some serious clambering to get over these buggers.
