Trouble is- the threat of serious reprisals if it continues to happen - will go over the head of those adamant that pitch invasions are all part of the drama. And we’ll get points deducted eventually

They will be in the minority once people lose "safety in numbers" mentality. The overwhelming majority of people wouldn't set foot on the pitch if they thought there was a realistic possibility of being banned from watching City.

Those that are left will be small enough in number to be identified and issued with bans - and I can't wait to see the thread on here when that happens...

Can’t really argue about the punishment, but it still bugs me that Liverpool fans did much worse to our team bus and our players’ min sets by throwing missiles a few year ago, and got no punishment from the FA

It was a Champions League game so they FA had nothing to do with it, and UEFA do not get involved with anything that happens outside a football stadium grounds… that’s a Police matter.

But the fact United faced no fines for failing to control their fans for a Premier League game where they broke into their own stadium, got a game called off, and caused criminal damage, ABH to Police officers and were thieving from their own club winds me up.

UEFA did charge United a £7,000 for throwing objects at Villarreal players and invading the pitch when CRonaldo scored a late winner against Villarreal in the Champions League last season.

West Ham were fined £50,000 for crowd trouble against Rapid Vienna last season.

Paris we’re fined £38,000 for setting off fireworks against us last season.

Football clubs get fined for shit all the time. This isn’t really a big deal. City might install those barriers they have in front of the stands at Wembley at the Etihad and that’s all that’ll come out of this.

It was fucking inevitable it was going to happen if we won the game. Nothing or nobody was going to stop it and regardless of the rights and wrongs it's not really worth fretting about and it certainly shouldn't have prevented you enjoying another amazing finish to the season by this wonderful team of ours.

Points deductions are nowhere near specified in the FA Official rulebook for 20E, it will not happen.

Fine as large as 300K per infringement and full stadium suspension.

Sporting results cannot be returned by non sporting actions. It's irrelevant to the cause and effect.

It didn’t spoil anyone’s day, unless they’re under the thumb and got home later than they told their missus they were going to do they got a load of ear ache.

We’d won the league in arguably the third best way anyone’s ever done it in the history of football for fuck’s sake (Agüerooooo! And Michael Thomas are probably the top two). Some Villa fans could have beaten me up that afternoon and it wouldn’t have spoilt my day.

Even the players were loving it, especially Kevin, and they were the ones being bombarded (Laporte looked a bit worried but that was it).
